Dear Parents, September, 2012 In FLES class this quarter your child is learning Todo Acerca de Mí (All About Me). As a culmination to this theme, each student will be asked to create a presentation about herself/himself using vocabulary learned during their FLES class lessons, such as: How to respond, in Spanish, to questions about themselves (using complete sentences). Telling about their pets, favorite animals, colors and/or sports. State favorite animal, color and sport. For the most part, the poster each student creates will be completed in class, during school hours. However, should there be a need or reason why a child can not finish their project in school, during class time, I will ask them to complete the project at home. Answers to the questions below must be included in your child s (Creativity on the poster is encouraged in how questions are answered. i.e., words, pictures, diagrams, maps, etc ) QUESTIONS: 1. Questions about themselves: Cómo te llamas? (What is your name?) Cuántos años tienes? (How old are you?) Dónde vives? (Where do you live?) 2. Birthday, Siblings and Pets: Cuándo es tu cumpleaños? (When is your birthday?) Cuántos hermanos tienes? (How many siblings do you have?) Qué mascota tienes? (What pet do you have?) 3. Favorites: Cuál es tu animal favorito? (What is your favorite animal?) Cuál es tu deporte favorito? (What is your favorite sport?) Cuál es tu color favorito? (What is your favorite color?) Student Instructions: Purpose: You will use All About Me Spanish vocabulary and grammar to tell about yourself. You will respond to questions about your age, where you live, your birthday, your siblings, and your pets. You will describe your favorite animal, sport, and color. Objectives: You will create and give a presentation using learned Spanish grammar and vocabulary on the All About Me topic. Task: You will work on your own to create a presentation on the topic of All About Me. You will create a poster to be used when you present to the class.
