LED Ribbon Light Installation Please note that these instructions are guidelines only and in no way supersede any construction or installation standards. Local building and electrical codes should be consulted before installation. There is potential danger of electrical shock when operating electrical components. Make sure power is turned off before installation Do not exceed maximum Ribbon light lengths; exceeding maximum lengths will result in lighting failure Do not install in a sealed environment allow for heat dissipation and adequate ventilation Do not power up LED Ribbon in a coil Attention: Handle LED Ribbon Light with care Do not pull on the lead wires Do not twist the Ribbon PCB Do not crimp, bend laterally, or bend medially to a radius less than 38 mm (1.5 ) Check the Ribbon Light voltage rating before starting. It is imperative that a regulated DC power supply is used and Class 2 is highly recommended. - 1 -
Mounting Silicone Clips For Wood & Porous surfaces Place mounting clips in between LED clips Recommended 2 clips per foot Use screws only; don t use nails. Do not over-tighten screws Silicone Adhesive For smooth or delicate surfaces (metal, glass, concrete, plastic materials) Surface must be dry and clean for application Use masking tape to fasten LED Ribbon in place while adhesive cures Allow adhesive minimum of 24 hours to dry; it takes 7 days to fully cure Aluminium Track Best mounting method for maintaining straight runs 1.8 m (6 ft) stock length Functions as heat dissipation 1. Apply silicone adhesive on to track 2. Place LED Ribbon light on the flat surface in the channel 3. Use masking tape to fasten LED Ribbon in place while adhesive cures 4. Allow adhesive minimum of 24 hours to dry; it takes 7 days to fully cure 5. Mount track clips onto surface with flathead screw 6. Snap on aluminium track to clips 1 5 2 6-2 -
Double Sided Tape Basic & simple adhesion Surface must be dry and clean for application Not suited for LED Ribbon in vertical or down-facing installations Terminations Factory Termination A B C D A) Extra lead wires B) Standard 3ft lead wires, 20 AWG C) Soldering, silicone sealant, end caps D) Jumper Cable Field Termination 1. Measure and lay out lengths as necessary 2. Cut the LED Ribbon at the designated cutting increment 3. Insert lead wires through cap holes 4. Solder the lead wires onto the LED Ribbon test the strip to ensure connections are intact 5. Apply silicone sealant to the inside of the cap and secure onto the jacketing of LED Ribbon 6. Allow silicone sealant to dry before handling 1 4 2 3 5 6-3 -

Assembly of Electrical Enclosure for Housing LED Driver Attention: Solid State Lighting is sensitive to power fluctuations. Surge protection is highly recommended for all LED lighting products and should be on a designated circuit to protect premature failure. Lack of surge protection will void your warranty. 1. Place LED driver in enclosure and mark drill holes on the bottom plate based on the mounting bracket 2. Drill through the marked holes 3. Insert bolts and tightened down on the nuts, locking the LED driver in place 4. Attach electrical box in position with mechanical screws sufficient to hold the weight of the box 5. Punch out knock-out holes and install wire strain relief connectors on opposite sides of the enclosure. Ensure the wires are secured and do not contact each other 6. Insert the 120V cable through conduit and connect ground to the electrical enclosure 7. Connect up the remaining wires to the LED driver 8. Insert lead wires from the lighting load and connect to the low voltage output of the LED driver Note: Consult with CEC and NEC standards for proper cable & wires selection and grounding procedures LED driver mounting bracket dimensions vary, always verify before drilling holes - 5 -
