1 Folding Bath Screen Instruction Manual Consumer Guarantee - Please make sure the purchaser/end user completes and returns the Guarantee card which is enclosed with this product. Please read these instructions carefully prior to attempting installation. Unpack and handle the product with care to avoid damage to the product finish. Check for hidden electrical cables and water pipes prior to commencing any drilling work. Do not plasterboard over the rim of the Tray. Ensure the walls where the Enclosure is to be fitted are vertical. (If the walls are not completely vertical there is 20mm of adjustment in each Wall Profile.) Note: It is recommended that the walls are tiled after the Tray is fitted and grouted before fitting the Enclosure. This will provide maximum adjustment and will aid sealing. No attempt should be made to rework toughened safety glass. Pictures used are for illustration purposes only, product designs may alter slightly as a result of continuing product development. Toughened glass is completely safe for use in our shower enclosures and bath screens; providing our products are installed according to our guidelines. It is important to note, that the glass must not be mounted or pinched in such a way that would cause a stress point to develop in the glass. In addition, it must not be subjected to any sharp impact or severe temperature fluctuation which may also cause a stress point to develop in the glass. Toughened glass is physically and thermally significantly stronger than standard glass. During our toughening process the stresses contained within any glass are balanced so if in the unlikely situation any of the above occurs and the glass breaks, the glass will shatter safely into small thumbnail sized blunt fragments. Please note that some natural misting may occur when you remove this product from its packaging, due to the addition of the glass protection pre-coating. If this does occur this can easily be removed with a soft, dry cloth. This can be done by referring to the label on the side of the product * Ensure all partys are in the packaging by checking them against the parts and quantities shown on the component check list above * Check the product for defects. Installation queries on damaged parts can not be resolved once the installation has been completed. * The Bath must be completely sealed along tiled walls, fitted level (check with a Spirit Level) and should have no leaks. Notes: It is recommended that the Wall Profiles are fitted directly onto tiles or a similar sealed surface. If walls or tray or a combination of both are out of level you will not achieve full adjustment of maximum width. If you have any problems with your Shower Enclosure once installed, please refer back to this Instruction Manual to ensure you have completed every stage correctly. 2 Step 1 - Checking the bath IMPORTANT PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKS 1 Check the bath is level, on all sides (The bubble should be in the centre of the two lines on the spirit level). 2. Stand in the bath and check there is no adverse movement. 3. The walls should be tiled and grouted up to the bath. 4. The tiles and the bath should be sealed with the bath full of water, using bathroom sealant. Spray the seal and joints with the shower head and check for leaks when the silicone has cured. Check the plumbing for leaks. Do not plasterboard over the bath. Do not grout the tiles when the enclosure has been fitted as the grout may discolour the aluminium profiles. When all of the above has been completed please proceed to the next step in these instructions.

3 Step 2 - Determining the position of the Wall Profile. Parallel inside edge of the bath Curved inside edge of the bath 1. Dry fit the fixed panel on to the bath top, place the leading edge of the fixed panel just over the inside edge of the bath as illustrated above. 2. Using a pencil mark lightly where the aluminium vertical profile touches the tiled wall and bath top (this will determine where you need to fix the wall profile in Step 3) You must ensure the glass runs parallel to the outside edge of the bath before marking the tiled wall with a pencil. You will need help to hold the screen in position while you mark the tiled wall and bath top. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Failure to fit the fixed panel as illustrated above may result in the bath screen leaking and will not be covered under the terms of the guarantee.

4 Step 3 - Fixing the Wall Profile 1. Position the inside edge of the wall profile on the pencil mark you made in Step 2, line Using a pencil mark the locations for the drill holes on the wall surface using the holes in the wall profile as a guide. The wall profile must be vertically level. (The bubble should be in the centre of the two lines on the spirit level) 3. Drill 3 holes using 6mm masonry drill bit (not supplied). Push the wall plugs (supplied) into the drilled holes. 4. Apply sealant the width of the wall profile at the bottom where itl will meet the bath and tiled wall. 5. Screw-Fix the wall profile using the 40mm screws (supplied) 6. Apply sealant to the inside of the wall profile where it meets the bath top IMPORTANT: Failure to follow the procedure in Steps 4 & 6 may result in serious water damage and is not covered by the guarantee.

5 Step 4 - Fitting the Fixed Panel Panel Bottom Seal ➂ ➃ 1. Push the panel bottom seal onto the fixed panel and cut to length. Offer the fixed panel into location on the bath and over the top of the wall profile, the fixed panel must overlap the wall profile by at least 14mm. Please take care when cutting the panel bottom seal. 2. Check to see the fixed panel is sitting fully down on top of the bath top and is parallel to the outside edge of the bath. 3. Drill three holes through the fixed panel into the wall profile with the 3mm drill bit (supplied). Ensure the fixed panel is sitting fully down on the bath top and completely vertical. 4. Screw-fix the fixed panel to the wall profile using the supplied pan head screws and fully tighten. You may need help to hold the screen in location while you drill and screw-fix.

6 Step 5 - Fitting the Curved Screen ➂ Angled Deflector Top Moulding Bottom Moulding 1. Using the 4mm allen key (supplied) remove the top moulding from the fixed panel. 2. Position the curved screen down over the top of the bottom moulding. Once the curved screen is pushed completely down over the top of the bottom moulding replace the top moulding which was removed in line Push the bottom seal onto the curved screen and cut to length. Ensure the angled deflector faces in towards the showering area. Please take care when cutting the bottom seal. Make sure the bottom seal is pushed up tight against the aluminium profile.

7 Step 6 - Fitting the Brace Bar & ➃ ➂ ➄ Spacer 1. Position the full bracing bar assembly over the top of the glass of the fixed panel; ensure the brace bar is completely level. using a pencil mark on the wall the position of the bracket. Ensure the brace bar is completely level. 2. Using the 2.5mm allen key (supplied) loosen the grub screw at the top and bottom of the brace bar until the brass locating nut in the end of the bracket can be removed. Place the brass locating nut where the brace bar is to be positioned and mark through the centre of the nut. 3. Drill the wall using the 6mm masonry drill bit (not supplied). Push the wall plug (supplied) into the hole drilled. Screw fix the brass locating nut to the wall using the 40mm screw (supplied). 4. Position the brace bar glass clamp over the top of the glass of the fixed panel and then over the top of the brass locating nut, using the 2.5mm allen key tighten the grub screws at the top and bottom of the bracket. 5. Slide the spacer in between the glass and the glass clamp, using a screwdriver tighten the screw on the glass clamp. The length of the brace bar can be adjusted by loosening the two grub screws at the top of the bracket using the 2.5mm allen key.

8 Step 7 - Sealing the Bath Screen In-fill Trim In-fill Trim ➂ ➃ Outside the showering area Outside the showering area Seal Seal 1. Once you are completely satisfied, press fit the in-fill trim into the screw fixing groove of the fixed panel to conceal the pan head screws. 2. Seal both sides of the wall profile inside and outside vertically where it meets the tiled wall. 3. Fully seal the base of the fixed panel to the bath top from the outside only. 4. Extra sealant must be applied vertically between the panel bottom seal and the aluminium profiles on the fixed panel as shown above. VERY IMPORTANT: Failure to follow the procedure in lines 2-4 may result in serious water damage and is not covered under the terms of the guarantee. Please allow 24 hours for the sealant to fully cure prior to using the bath screen. 5. Stick on the branding badge (where applicable).

9 Cleaning your product: Shower Enclosures are designed for luxury showering and with care and attention you can keep them looking new for longer. Simply clean your Shower Enclosure regularly using a soft cloth and warm soapy water and If you live in a hard water area, occasionally clean your Shower Enclosure using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. The solution should be left on the product for approximately 5 mins and then rinsed off using warm water. This method of cleaning should remove lime scale residue. It is also a good idea to wipe all water droplets and residue from the glass surfaces of your Enclosure after use - a window "squeegee" is ideal for this task. This is particularly important in hard-water areas where lime scale build up is likely if water is left on the smooth glass surface for extended periods of time. The use of any other cleaning products is not recommended Proprietary cleaning products frequently change formula without notification and cannot be endorsed for this reason. A List of don ts: Don t use acidic based products. Don t use abrasive cleaners and/or cleaners containing bleach or solvents. Don t use scouring pads, powder or any sharp instruments.
