Chapter 5. Technical Information Keyboard Layouts The following is an illustration of the keyboard layouts available in your system after the ParaWin CE software have been installed. Each layout is shown in several states. On many international keyboards it is possible to produce accented characters by using socalled "dead key" combinations. Such "dead key" combinations are defined for shifted as well as not shifted states. To type using the accented characters, you should first press the "dead key" shown below as shaded keys and designated for producing a specific diacritic mark, and then press one of the shaded keys containing the combination of this mark with the desired character. For example: To type  in French layout, you should press the key ^ (Dead Key) followed by the key A called a Completer Key. NOTE: PHYSICAL LOCATION OF KEYS MAY VARY FROM ONE COMPUTER MANUFACTURER TO ANOTHER, THEREFORE, FOLLOW THE SPECIFIC CHARACTER DEPICTED ON A KEY RATHER THAN ITS POSITION ON A KEYBOARD. THE VARIOUS KEYBOARD LAYOUTS ILLUSTRATED BELOW!ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR REFERENCE ONLY. 14
