1 Area of applcablty These safety nstructons apply to the capactve probes of type seres VB60 accordng to the Kosha 14-AV4BO-0107 (certfcaton number on the type label) and to all nstruments wth the number of the safety nstructon (48578) on the type label. 2 General nformaton The VEGAVIB VB6*.GI******* are used for montorng or control of levels also n areas wth combustble, dust generatng bulk solds. VEGAVIB VB6*.GI******* consst of a metal sensor, a process connecton element and a processng unt n a powder-coated Alumnum or stanless steel housng. The VEGAVIB VB6*.GI******* are sutable for use n hazardous atmospheres of combustble dusts, for applcatons requrng EPL-Da, EPL-Da/Db or EPL-Db nstruments. If the VEGAVIB VB6*.GI******* are nstalled and operated n hazardous areas, the general Ex mountng nstructons IEC 60079-14 as well as these safety nstructons must be observed. The operatng nstructons manuals as well as the approprate Ex mountng nstructons and standards for electrcal plants must be observed. The nstallaton of exploson-endangered systems must always be carred out by qualfed personnel. The requrements of IEC 61241-1 e.g. wth respect to dust deposts and temperatures must be fulflled. EPL-Da nstruments The electroncs housng and the sensor wth the mechancal fxng element are nstalled n exploson-endangered areas, n areas requrng EPL-Da nstruments. EPL-Da/Db nstruments The electroncs housng s nstalled n hazardous areas requrng EPL-Db nstruments. The process connecton elements are nstalled n the separatng wall, whch separates areas requrng EPL-Db or EPL-Da nstruments. The sensor wth the mechancal fxng element s nstalled n hazardous areas requrng EPL-Da nstruments. EPL-Db nstruments The electroncs housng and the sensor wth the mechancal fxng element are nstalled n exploson-endangered areas, n areas requrng EPL-Db nstruments. 3 Techncal data Electrcal data VEGAVIB VB6*.GI**C** wth ntegrated electroncs module VB60C VB6*.LK: only VB61, VB63 Voltage supply: (termnals 1, 2) Output Domestc current requrement Load current ƲƲ mn.
