INTRODUCE YOUR TALENT St. Louis At Home proudly presents the tenth annual Architect & Designer Awards. ADA is a local awards competition for architects, commercial, and residential interior designers, artisans, builders, and landscape designers and architects. The 2017 competition features six new categories, a new, easy online entry process, and a distinguished panel of national and international judges. Winners will be announced at a dinner and awards reception in February and will be featured in the March/April 2017 Design issue of At Home. PANEL OF JUDGES At Home is proud to introduce this year s renowned panel of judges: AMANDA NISBET Amanda Nisbet s bold embrace of pattern, color and texture, all held in balance, enlivens residences in both North America and Europe, resulting in gracious, welcoming interiors. Despite a formal training in art history and years at Christie s auction house, Nisbet prefers to upend design rules in favor of a fresh, energetic approach that draws as much upon intuition as tradition. Nisbet is based in both New York City and Charleston, South Carolina. MARC APPLETON Marc Appleton is the founding partner of Appleton Partners, based in Santa Monica and Santa Barbara, California. His design work has received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, and has been widely published in Architectural Digest, Town and Country, Sunset and other periodicals. Appleton is one of only four designers who have been consistently named among Architectural Digest s top 100 designers since its inception in 1991. MADELINE STUART A leading member of the Los Angeles-design community, Madeline Stuart s clientele comes from the entertainment industry and the world of business and finance. She is equally at ease designing a 1920 s Hollywood hacienda, a Fifth Avenue Manhattan apartment, or a Rocky Mountain retreat. My firm is predicated on the notion of timeless design be it modernist or traditional in inspiration, she says. ERIKA HEET Before being named editor-in-chief of Interiors, a position Erika Heet has held since October 2015, the California-native held various editorial positions, including those of Los Angeles editor and editorial director at Dwell, and senior editor of Robb Report and Architectural Digest, where she worked for more than 10 years. Based in Los Angeles, Heet graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in English. RITA KONIG Rita Konig is a London-based interior designer, a regular columnist for House & Garden, and the European editor for The New York Times T Magazine. She has been decorating houses for the past 15 years, both in London and stateside, and launched the e-commerce website, ritakonig.com. While living in the U.S. between 2005 and 2012 she wrote for Domino.
