Registering Educators Register in just 4 easy steps: 1. Go to www.satonlinecourseschool.com 2. Click the Register Now! link 3. Enter both Activation and School Codes 4. Follow the prompts to create your user name and password Note: This process is only done the first time you use the Online Course. These codes are unique and can only be used once.

Preparing to Register Students You must supply students with access codes so that they can register You will be able to generate access codes by clicking the Class Management tab on your home page Click Manage Student Access Codes
Preparing to Register Students Enter the number of codes you want to generate Click Generate to create access codes Click Print and distribute access codes to students Note: Access Codes will print ten or fewer per page.
Registering Students Direct the students to www.satonlinecourseschool.com Students click on the Register Now! link in the student section Students enter the unique student access code from the card to register Students must have a free collegeboard.com account to register. If they do not have one, they will be prompted to create one Students then select the class(es) they need to enroll in Note: collegeboard.com accounts require an e-mail address. If your students don t have an e-mail address they may use satonlinecourseregistration@collegeboard.com
Educator Experience Creating a Class Create a class to monitor students progress in the online course To create a class, go to the Class Management tab Then click Manage Classes
Educator Experience Creating a Class To Add a New Class Click Add a Class Enter in the Class Title All other fields are optional To Add Students Click the name of the class Click Add Students Enter student s last name All other fields are optional
Educator Experience Reporting To generate reports go to the Reports tab There are two types of reports: Monthly Usage Reports are good for monitoring student activity by month # quizzes taken # tests taken Student Progress Reports show how your students are doing on specific lessons, quizzes, and practice tests
Educator Experience Reporting Two Popular Progress Reports Report Builder Wizard Practice Test Progress Reports show all students within a specific class and their progress on each Official Practice Test. Use these reports to see which sections of the SAT students are struggling with and which subjects to focus on with each student. Progress Reports by Lesson give you a listing of all students in your class and their progress on each lesson. Use these reports to see the lessons and subject areas in which your students need improvement Note: To generate these and other reports you use the Report Builder Wizard shown above and click Submit.
Student Experience Home Page All content available to educators is also available to students except: Educators can view answers to all quizzes and tests without having to answer questions Students do not have access to the same kinds of reports or the Class Management tab
Student Experience Class Enrollment Students need to enroll in your class in order for you to monitor their progress Students can change their class enrollments from their home page by: 1. Clicking the link under Class Enrollments 2. Clicking Change Class Enrollments 3. Selecting the correct class(es) 4. Clicking Submit
Student Experience Lessons Students access lessons through the Lessons tab. The 18 Lessons cover: About the SAT Critical Reading Writing (including the SAT Essay) Math Each section is broken up by specific question types and has corresponding lesson quizzes Educators have access to all lessons

Student Experience Practice Quizzes There are quizzes at the end of each lesson and separate practice quizzes, too Practice quizzes are broken down by subject and question type They are scored immediately and will show up on your reports Educators have immediate access to the answers for these quizzes
Student Experience Example Quiz Practice quizzes are similar to practice tests but are shorter and about a specific subject or question type. They are not timed. They include the same functionalities as a practice test (see following slides).
Student Experience Practice Tests Practice Tests are timed and mimic the testing experience. Students can: Cross out wrong answers to help them guess correctly Mark questions for review after the test Get tests, including essays, scored automatically and immediately See explanations for why each answer is right or wrong Educators can see answers and explanations without taking the test
Student Experience Score Reports Practice Tests are automatically scored and score reports are generated for students. Students score reports show them how they did on each section, what their scores are, and which question types posed the greatest challenges. Student will also have access to answer explanations after finishing the practice test.
College and Career Planning Tools My College QuickStart is a free online college and career planning kit for all PSAT takers Students can easily access My College QuickStart by clicking on My Organizer and following the prompts to take advantage of the following features: My SAT Study Plan is an individualized study plan based on PSAT performance aligned to The Official SAT Online Course interactive lessons My Personality is a personality test to help students learn more about majors and careers that fit their strengths and interests My College Matches is a starter list of colleges to help students begin their search
