Tradenet's Trading Room User Guide Welcome to Tradenet's Trading Room! The experience you are about to have will be exciting and enjoyable. You are about to team up with the professionals! Before actively participating in Tradenet's Trading Room we thought it worthwhile for you to become familiar with the trading fundamentals so that you can maximize the enjoyment and knowledge base you gain from the experience. What is a Trading Room and Who Needs a Trading Room? Our trading room is a pivotal tool in the trader's professional development path. Hundreds of traders from different countries connect daily in our trading rooms, creating one of the world's largest trading communities. A team of professional traders work hand in hand with the budding traders; we refer to this team of pros as "Analysts." The analysts are independent professional traders, who inform the trading room members of the details of their real-time private account transactions. Trading room members can hear and learn about analysts' transactions, presenting the analysts with questions and can even share with them and the other trading room members through "The Chat Window" details of their own transactions. The connection is entirely via the internet without the need to leave the comfort of one's home. In the trading room, on a daily basis, tens of transactions are presented and fleshed out using real-time graphs, accompanied with verbal and written analyst explanations. In the trading room, fast-paced intraday transactions are illustrated, together with Swing Transactions lasting a number of days, enabling each trader to reveal the strategy best suiting him/her along with the ideal type of stock and analyst for his/her trading style. The trading room commences about 10 minutes before the opening of the trading day on Wall Street (9:20 EST) with stock reviews, a glimpse into world markets, technical analysis of previous trading days, a daily trading forecast, and a presentation about the interesting stocks set to become Wall Street's "hot stocks" for each given day. The display window is the place where analysts share their trading screen with the trading room members, give real time presentations or simply depict charts on the electronic board trading sessions which are conducted weekly in Tradenet's Trading Room. 2-The Chat Window. In the chat window you can read what other traders and analysts are writing and you can also share your opinions, trading ideas, asking questions and interacting with the other traders hooked in at the same time as you. The chat window creates a trading community.
3.The Traders' Window. In this window the user names of all analysts' names. Left clicking on the mouse on the analyst's name will open an options' menu, via which you'll be able to send a private message to an analyst or silence the voice of an analyst using the <Mute> feature. Please remember that just like yourselves, the analysts are busy managing their own transactions, so it's possible that if you send an analyst a private message it may take him/her time to answer. In the event that you do not receive a response to your private message, write the question in the general chat field. This way, all analysts can see your question or inquiry, together with the other traders. The <Mute> option enables you to create a custom-tailored audio environment. If you are interested in listening to only a number of analysts or even just one analyst, do not hesitate to mute the other analysts' voices. At any stage, you are able to open muted channels anew.
Announcements: Real Time Signals The trade room includes an advanced signaling system. This system will transmit the message signal directly and immediately to the main screen the moment one of the analysts wants to present a new trade idea. Signals will usually be presented in the following manner: Long: A signal connoting a trading idea of the type, "long," will usually be presented as follows: TEVA>42 This means a planned purchase of TEVA if its price exceeds $42. Short: A signal connoting a trading idea of the type, "short," will usually be presented as follows: TEVA <42 This means a planned sale short of TEVA if its price falls beneath $42. NOTE: Clicking on the <Announcement> tab will display before you the history of all the trading room signals throughout the course of the day. This option is especially relevant if you have entered the trading room late and you are interested in seeing the list of all the day's signals or if you're interested in assessing the success rate of all the active analysts on that given day. This is a superb learning tool.
