Page 1 of 6 Enhanced SEADS (Serial Enabled Auto-Dialer Solution) Integration Overview This document outlines how to program and interface a SEADS Auto-Dialer to Access It! Universal. Required Components The following components are required to complete the integration. Access It! Universal Software EP-1502 or EP-2500 (Firmware 1.107) SEADS Kit consisting of: (1) 95M3225 - Keltron Dialer (1) NCL - Enclosure (1) SAP - Keltron Dialer Adapter Plate (1) VB-1T 12-24VDC Power Booster Hardware / Wiring References SEADS Auto-Dialer to PC Keltron-Dialer RS-232 Port PC Com Port Comments DB-9 Male DB-9 Female Straight Through DB-9 Male to DB-9 Female RS-232 Cable Table 1 EP-2500 / EP-1502 Keltron-Dialer EP-1502 / EP-2500 SEADS Auto-Dialer DB9 Connector TXD (Black) PIN 3 RXD (Red) PIN 2 GND (Green) PIN 5 Table 2 Configuring the SEADS Auto-Dialer 1. Connect the SEADS Auto-Dialer to the PC. NOTE: See table 1. 2. Insert the Keltron S/FDACT Programmer CD-ROM into the PC. 3. Click the OK button at the S/FDACT Programmer Setup welcome window. 4. Select the installation directory accordingly. 5. Click the Install button located in the upper left corner of the window. 6. Select a Programmer Group. 7. Click the Continue button. 8. Click the OK button at the S/FDACT Programmer Setup was completed successfully window. 9. Click Start Programs S/FDACT Programmer. 10. Click Set Comm Port from the file menu. 11. Select the COM port that the SEADS Auto-Dialer is connected to. 12. On the SEADS Auto-Dialer, press the Program soft key. NOTE: In programming mode, the red and yellow serial port LEDs will flash once a second. To exit the programming mode, disconnect the DB-9 cable and wait 60 seconds or press the Test soft key. S/FDACT Programmer Set Event Codes Use Default Event Codes Uncheck the Use Default Event Codes when custom event codes are needed. Set Telephone Numbers Primary Phone Number Sets the primary phone number the SEADS Auto-Dialer will call. Page 2 of 6 Secondary Phone Number Sets the secondary phone number the SEADS Auto-Dialer will call. NOTE: This number is generally provided by the central station and may be up to 20 digits long. Set Account Numbers Primary Account Number Sets the primary account number the SEADS Auto-Dialer will use. NOTE: This number is generally provided by the central station and may be up to 6 digits long. Secondary Account Number Sets the secondary account number the SEADS Auto-Dialer will use. NOTE: This number is generally provided by the central station and may be up to 6 digits long. Set Options Telephone Lines Used Select the Line 1 Only option if a second phone line is not available. NOTE: Selecting this option prevents the S/FDACT from reporting a line fault condition on line 2. Send Troubles to Second Account Check the 2nd Account checkbox if troubles are to be sent to the secondary account only. NOTE: Normally the SEADS Auto-Dialer will report all troubles to the primary account and only use the secondary account and telephone number if it is unable to report to the primary account. Set Daily Test Interval Select how often the daily test reports will occur. NOTE: The default setting is once every 24 hours. Set Daily Test Time Enter the time for which the daily test reports will be sent. NOTE: The time is in entered in 24 hour format from 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59. The factory default is 00:00. Set Date and Time Auto Sync Time Mode Selecting this mode will automatically sync the SEADS Auto-Dialer date and time to that of the clock within the PC. NOTE: This is the default mode. Change Time Mode Selecting this mode enables the Set Date and Set Time fields so that a specific date and time may be manually sent to the SEADS Auto-Dialer. NOTE: See the Set Date, Set Time and Upload Date/Time to S/FDACT sub-categories. Set Date Manually sets the SEADS Auto-Dialer to a specified date. NOTE: This field is disabled when set to Auto Sync Time Mode. Set Time Manually sets the SEADS Auto-Dialer to a specified time. NOTE: This field is disabled when set to Auto Sync Time Mode. Download Date/Time from S/FDACT This utility will request the current date and time values from within the real-time clock and calendar of the SEADS Auto-Dialer. Upload Date/Time to S/FDACT This utility will set the current date and time values within the real-time clock and calendar of the SEADS Auto-Dialer to the values entered within the Set Date and Set Time fields. Upload / Download Download Config from S/FDACT This utility will read the configuration program from the SEADS Auto-Dialer and display the current settings. Upload Config to S/FDACT This utility will program the SEADS Auto-Dialer with the currently displayed settings.

Page 3 of 6 EP-2500 / EP-1502 Configuration 1. Install and configure the EP-2500 / EP-1502 to communicate with Access It! Universal. NOTE: The EP board must be at firmware.1.107 or higher 2. Wire the Keltron-Dialer to the EP-2500/ EP-1502 s RS-232 port. NOTE: See table 2. 3. Browse to the EP-2500/EP-1502 s internal web browser. 4. Log into the web browser NOTE: Default username is admin and password is password. 5. Select Central Station from the left hand menu. 6. Set Connection Type to Serial-RS232 7. Set Baud Rate to 9600 8. Set Data Security to None 9. Set Flow Control to None 10. Click the Accept button 11. Click Apply Settings from the left hand menu 12. Click the Apply Settings, Reboot button NOTE: The SCP will reset. 13. Close the web browser Access It! Universal Configuration 1. From the file menu, select Go Main Hardware 2. Select SCP s 3. Edit the EP-2500/EP-1502 4. Select the Intrusion Processing tab 5. Set Intrusion Processing Mode to an Enhanced Intrusion Processing mode 6. Enter a custom Command Code 7. Click Save NOTE: The SCP will reset. 8. Expand the EP-2500/EP-1502 from the left hand tree 9. Select Alarm Zones 10. Edit Alarm Zone Number 01 NOTE: Alarm Zone 00 cannot be used with the SEADS integration. 11. Select the Central Station Reporting tab 12. Check Enable Central Station Reporting 13. Enter the Account ID 14. NOTE: See the S/FDACT Programmer section 15. Enter the Alternate Account ID 16. NOTE: See the S/FDACT Programmer section 17. Enter Group Number NOTE: See the S/FDACT Programmer section 18. Enter the Comm Timeout 19. Select the Points tab 20. Click Add Point 21. Select the Point Type 22. Select which Point to add 23. Select a Point Mode 24. Select a Monitoring Mode 25. Select an Entry Delay value 26. Select the Central Station Reporting tab 27. Enter the SIA Zone number for this Point 28. Select the SIA Point Type for this Point 29. Click OK 30. Repeat steps 20-29 for any additional Points 31. Click Save Application Notes The daily test performed by the SEADS Auto-Dialer will only test the connection between the SEADS Auto-Dialer and the central station. NOTE: There is no way to test or monitor the integrity of the connection between the access control hardware and the SEADS Auto-Dialer!
