To determine the National Champions for each age-group 2. To identify the top juniors for each age group based on the cutoff date (All players must play actual age group) 3. All top players must play the NJC 4. To teach and expose players the knock-out draw system used internationally 5. The NJC is for the advanced players and not for 'development' players 6. To start the year off as the first national junior event (as of 2014) run 7. The results will be added to the National Junior Ranking. 8. The results and rankings will serve as an additional guideline for the seeding of the CIMB Circuits. 9. PARTICIPATION BUDGET 1. All States are to apply for participation funding from respective State USPTN (Pelapis) 2. The National Junior Championship is one of the mandatory subsidized events that the States must apply from Pelapis for 2016. 3. Submit in your applications to your respective State USPTN 4. ALL PLAYERS MUST PLAY THEIR ACTUAL AGE CATEGORY Withdrawals i) The withdrawal deadline is 48 hours after the entries closed. A player who appears on the entry list at any time after the withdrawal deadline is deemed to have been accepted into and is committed to play the tournament. ii) Any withdrawal from a player that occurs after the withdrawal deadline will be considered a late withdrawal, unless that player has been nominated to represent the nation in other tournaments. iii) Late withdrawal offences will be blacklisted from other s junior tournaments, unless the withdrawal (medical certificates) is approved by the. iv) Any player accepted into the main draw who fails to appear for the tournament without notifying the of his/her withdrawal will be blacklisted from other s junior tournaments for no show. Any appeal has to be submitted in writing. v) Blacklisted players would be barred from participating in sanctioned event for: - a period of 6 months or - The next three sanctioned events. Administrative Error on Acceptance Lists If an administrative error is made on a tournament Acceptance List and a player is not included or too many players are accepted into the tournament, the Acceptance List will be corrected at the earliest opportunity in accordance with the criteria for acceptances. Rules and Obligations i) All participants must attend the press conference (if any). ii) Participants and officials must arrive 15 minutes before tournament starts for briefing session. ii) Participants must ensure they are on time for their matches. iii) Participants must do marking or refereeing of other matches when required. Players or their Officials/parents who refuse to referee/mark will be blacklisted (see above). iii) Participants must put on any sponsor s T-Shirt and wear shoes during the press conference and prize giving ceremony. Players who are not properly attired are not allowed to receive their medals and prizes. Note: 1.
