3 Our Banking practice is split into eight product lines: Asset Financial Services Regulatory General Lending Investment Funds Leveraged Project Real Estate Seminars and conferences Throughout the year we offer a number of different seminars and conferences in our German offices as well as in-house. Our aim is to ensure that the topics reflect the prevailing market conditions. Our priority is to provide the best advice and most useful resources to help our clients handle the many challenges they now face, so we make the seminars highly topical and directly relevant to the current economic environment. If you would like more information on our seminar programme, please visit www.allenovery-event.de Comparative Law Programme The Comparative Law Programme is the first of its kind in the market. The half-day programme aims to answer a number of key questions around grouping legal systems; what the key financial issues are and whether they protect creditors and debtors. It also looks at the trends around security interests, and the drivers of corporate law, the issues and the crucial impact on transactions. The training is aimed at mid- to senior-level clients as well as a selection of Allen & Overy lawyers who are interested in cross-border finance and corporate transactions. Private Equity Academy and The University of Law On a regular basis we offer a three half-day Private Equity Academy programme in our Frankfurt and Munich offices for our Germany-based clients. The programme provides young and mid-level professionals active in the private equity sector with a 360 perspective on private equity transactions. The Academy focuses on all corporate and bank finance aspects that are relevant in those transactions. The sessions are split into lectures and workshops. The University of Law is a three half-day legal technical training course introducing the main aspects of law and the practice of finance transactions. It provides attendees with an understanding of the key legal principles at the core of most finance transactions and introduces basic finance documents. The course centres primarily on English law financing and the London loan market practice, but also analyses the international position. The University is run twice a year at our offices in London.
