CANADIAN HIGHER EDUCATION COMMITTEE Announcing the 2016 CIS Canadian University Tour to Latin America Tour Highlights Six Countries, Eight Cities: San José, COSTA RICA; Panama City, PANAMA; Bogota, Medellin, COLOMBIA; Quito, ECUADOR; Lima, PERU; Sao Paulo, Campinas, BRAZIL The eleventh annual Canadian University Tour to Latin America will feature school visits, events and workshops in six countries and eight cities. In 2015, this tour reached 2,000+ students and the 2016 program is gearing up to be equally robust and productive. We hope you ll join us for what promises to be a fruitful two weeks in this key recruitment region for Canadian universities. Terms & Conditions Costs: $12,100 (Paid to Wren & Fida) + $1,000 deposit USD (Paid to CIS) *Based upon a minimum of 7 participants Tour applications due 15 December 2015 Deposit due to CIS 15 December 2015 $ 1,000 Tour Balance due to Wren & Fida 5 January 2016 $12,100 (Late Fee: 5%) Application/Payment: Your deposit $1,000 to CIS must accompany the application form. Participants must meet the conditions for participation and application deadlines in order to be considered. Payment for the balance of the tour costs will be due to Wren & Fida International no later than January 15, 2016. Institutions will receive an invoice for tour costs directly from Wren & Fida International. General Conditions for Participation Participation in the CIS Canadian University Tour to Latin America is limited to CIS Canadian Higher Education members with preference given to four-year degree granting AUCC accredited institutions. Participants must adhere to the Council of International Schools Code of Ethics for higher education members The Tour is a rigorous recruitment trip designed for experienced international recruitment officers. Preference for participation is given to full-time campus based recruitment officers who have a minimum of three years international recruitment experience. Participants must take part in the entire tour due to group travel arrangements and advance publicity. Deviations from the tour itinerary are not permitted. Any substitution in traveler, after formal tour acceptance, must meet all criteria for participation. Any substitutions must be approved by CIS. No substitutions are allowed within 45 days of departure. Approved substitute travelers will pay a US $1000 change fee plus any additional tour expenses. Have no more than one representative at any tour-related activity. Space is limited to fifteen participating institutions. Participants must be prepared to make general presentations as requested by the Tour Leader. Representatives must be prepared to give the CIS Canadian Higher Education Committee (CHEC) Study in Canada presentation provided to Tour participants prior to the Tour. They must also provide clear, concise, up-to-date and accurate information pertaining to their programs, services facilities, financial aid and costs. Participants must distribute their institution s materials and converse with students/parents only from their designated table (as determined by the host school).
