Author(s): D. Chapizanis Version: 2 4/11 General info The HEALS website (www.heals-eu.eu) went online during the first days of the project, before the kick-off meeting in Paris, on 23-25 October 2013. It is regularly updated with news, detailed information on forthcoming international scientific events, trainings, workshops and publications (i.e. project deliverables, journal articles, conference presentations, newsletters). Based on the website architecture, visitors can easily be informed on the overall progress and they can also check all documents officially submitted. The main sections of the HEALS website contain information regarding the scientific areas of focus tackled by the project, the time plan of the several working packages as well as details on the partners and collaborative institutes. The Agenda section provides an overview of all deliverables, milestones, events and workshops that are scheduled. Visitors and partners have the option to choose the event they want to follow and get notified well in advance. There is also a dedicated section which serves as a training portal, containing material from several training workshops that take place during the project. Links are provided to websites of other organisations with a similar interest (stakeholders). The site is also connected with social networks, such as twitter, to stimulate public interest. Website traffic is monitored through an integrated analytical tool (Google Analytics) which provides insight on the type and location of visitors, information access and keyword use. These statistics will be used to revise the Dissemination Strategy and increase efficiency in reaching audiences and interact with them. The reserved access section is a limited access subpage which works as a file repository. The page is password protected hence it's only visible to partners. Content (files) can be uploaded by authorized partner so that there is a detailed archive of every working document based on mutual collaboration (such as reports, deliverables, papers, draft documents). Documents can be categorised based on their status (whether it's a template, a draft or a final version of a document), making it easier to keep record of the overall working progress before a document is officially submitted. Moreover, power point presentations as well as minutes of meetings and projects' workshops can be found here. The HEALS website is powered by Wordpress, a Content Management System (CMS) platform that allows publishing, editing and modifying content as well as maintenance from a central interface. HTML (the Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are two of the core technologies for building web pages that have been used. HTML provides the structure of the page and CSS the visual layout, for a variety of devices. The website is intended to be a dynamic resource meant to expand during the course of the project. The different sections of the HEALS website are graphically illustrated, as print screen images, in the following figures.
