2 TyGRe Project Website release (including dissemination website) As foreseen by the Annex I to the Grant Agreement, an internet-based project platform has been launched as main communication tool. The address of the website is The website is intended to provide advanced information systems for knowledge and management, and is designed for use by both the partners and other site users. As a general structure, the website has been designed in two parts: the first one provides the access to the general public and includes monthly updates of project achievements, The second one has a secured access for project participants and includes more detailed information about the attainment of objectives. The attendant chat room will allow for discussions between and among members of the latter group. The web portal will be used for the project as a multifunctional site with the following functions: intranet document management system extranet communication with experts internet promotion, dissemination, newsletter, site linkages, etc. The site will be updated with reports of each partner meeting, of the committees and of the activities planned throughout the project. Additionally, as an open internet site, the public will be able to read news and get an overall view of the project, its tasks and its objectives. The site has been constructed according to an open source project management system (PMS) for the workflows management and for the online scheduling of the working activities. By using communication tools, such as chat-rooms and forum, and filing systems tools, this system allows the real time update and the layout of the work progresses of the project. The web-based platform is suitable for the exchange of information and documents. A restricted area for internal exchange of information has been implemented, and the project coordinator will take care for its functionality and regular update with special regard to administrative issues. Furthermore, a content management system (CMS) open-source has been implemented, for the online publication of the documents. Such a tool allows to create and to keep update the project portal, thanks to the contribution of the registered users. The publication within the CMS will be scheduled as ad-hoc task of PMS, in which partners will offer information updates on the project results.
