3 1. Introduction Within work package 6 Knowledge Management and Dissemination one objective is to ensure an effective branding of KnoholEM. The document in hand is describes the development of the project corporate identity and corresponding awareness material. This includes the design of the project logo, the development and production of a project leaflet and poster. It also describes the graphical design of the external project website. The design of this material was performed by partner KIT in cooperation with partner SEZ. 2. Logo The project logo was designed by partner KIT to create a well distinguishable brand for the project. The project logo is to be included in all marketing materials, the project website and any other documents concerning the project. The consortium selected the logo from the three sets were created by KIT.(Figure 1) Figure 1: The project logo 3. Printable material 3.1 Leaflet The project has several stakeholder groups that will be targeted at different point in the project development. In the first instance a project flyer was developed to use it for giving general information about the KnohoIEM project. The leaflet includes a brief description and the objectives of the KnohoIEM project, the partners of the consortium and some photographs of the demonstration objects. The leaflet was designed by KIT in collaboration with SEZ and the main partners involved in project dissemination. The electronic version of the flyer will be uploaded to the project website. The printed version of the leaflet is designed to be folded twice and is thus printed on the front and back in six columns copies of a 6 pager (A4) were planned to be printed and sent to the partners for dissemination purposes. SEZ and KIT has asked for three tenders for the printing costs of 2500 copies. However, it was decided by the consortium to postpone the printing to a later stage when the leaflet would be updated with project s results. For the moment the electronic version of the leaflet is used, and it will be printed by the partners themselves as and when it is required. Updates of the leaflet will be discussed at the annual meetings. 3

4 Figure 2: Project leaflet 3.2 Poster/Roll-up According to the work plan 70 copies of a DIN A0/A1 poster were planned to be distributed to the partners for dissemination purposes. To avoid very high transport/mailing costs and to guarantee a more professional performance it was decided to substitute the posters by a few roll-ups, one or two for each partner country. Several designs of the pop-up posters were designed. The electronic versions of the pop-up stands are available on the internal website for all partners. Partners can print posters or roll-ups themselves as and when it is required. Towards the end of the first year when the dissemination activities will likely to be more active we will reassess these materials and update them if necessary. 4

7 4. Website Structure and Design The graphic layout of the external project website was performed by partner KIT. Together with SEZ it was decided to keep both structure and layout clear and concise. A simple two level structure was suggested (see Figure 5), where the second level is only visible if the corresponding first level topic is active. Special buttons like contact, imprint, sitemap, etc. are leading directly to the requested information.
