This route is used by 40 to 50 percent of all visitors to the park and traffi c volume swells to nearly 50,000 cars per day in August. The Highway also provides the best direct route to Badger Pass, the only ski resort in a National Park. Adjacent to the property, The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, is a restored steam train which originally served logging operations in the area from 1899 through 1931 and is where the Inn s name is derived.
