New user? _top If you do not already have a user account you can sign up online. 1. To access the site visit the following URL: http://cpd4-schoolschoice.test.local/cpd/default.asp Click Log in to continue. 2. Select the hyperlink at the bottom of the page to create a new account. Page 2

3. Complete your details and click the Save button on the left hand side screen. 4. If you are unable to read the security code click on the refresh button to generate a new code 5. After submitting your details you will be taken to the Step 2 page and you will be asked to enter some details for equal opportunities monitoring. Fill in these details and click Submit to continue. Page 3

6. Next you will be taken to a screen where you can choose areas of interest from the subjects and target audience lists to receive relevant event information. To receive event information alerts ensure Activate event alerts by email is selected. Page 4

7. Select Save and then Finish to complete the registration process. A confirmation message will display on screen to confirm the process is successful. Click on the Click here to login link in the message to log in to the site. 8. You will be sent an email confirmation containing your login details for your records. _top Back to Top Page 5

Access the Site 1. To access the site visit the following URL: http://cpd4-schoolschoice.test.local/cpd/default.asp Select Log in to continue. 2. Enter your log in details and click Log in once finished. Page 6

3. If you have forgotten your login details click on the Forgotten Password link. Enter your email address and click Enter to receive an email reminder of your password details. Page 7

Back to Top Managing your account in My CPD 1. When you are logged in you will have access to My CPD within the top menu tabs. This is where you can manage your account and track event bookings you have made. Page 8

2. Within My CPD you can: Change your username and password within Change username & password Change your contact and establishment details within Change contact details Update your event email alert preferences within Update your email alerts. This is where you can select which types of event you would like to receive event alert emails for. Event alerts are sent weekly on a Friday evening for any new courses that you may be interested in. Update your Equal Opportunity monitoring responses within Update your equal opportunity responses Track booking statuses for bookings you have made within Events due to attend and booking status Page 9

Cancel bookings you have made within Cancel a booking, this can also be completed by following the Cancel booking link within the top menu Track your events attended within Events attended View events you have saved in Saved events Create and manage other events you have attended outside of CPD Online in Other events 3. To change your username and/or password click change username & password in My CPD. 4. To change your contact details click on the change contact details link. This will take you to the change contact details page; fill in your details and click Submit to update your contact details. Page 10

5. To update your email alerts click on the update your email alerts link. This will take you to the update profile page where you can select which types of event you would like to receive event alert emails for. 6. To update your equal opportunities monitoring questions click on the update your equal opportunities responses link and you will be taken to the equal opportunities questions page. Click Submit to save your changes. Page 12

Searching for events 1. Events can be searched for in three ways: 1.1. Select Search Events in the top menu 1.2. Alternatively if you know the date of the event you are looking for, click on the date in the Event Calendar on the homepage 1.3. You can also enter a search term on the homepage in the search events box Page 14

2. You will be taken to the Search Events page 3. If you wish to find events that start during or after a certain month select a month from the Starts during or after drop down Page 15

4. Enter your search criteria and click the Search button to search for events 5. Results will be displayed on screen that match your criteria, as per the example below 6. If there are any documents attached to the event you will see an Additional Document(s) icon Page 16

7. To view the full details of an event click on the Full details link on the right hand side and you will be taken to a page with the full event information. Page 17

8. To print the details of an event, click on the Print Event link. 9. To save the details of an event click on the Save event link. The event will be saved in your Saved Events page within My CPD. Page 18

10. If an event has a charge or parking notes then this will be displayed on the event. 10.1. Click Full Details to view the details of the linked notes. Page 19

10.2. This will display all of the details about the event and the notes attached to it. Back to Top _top Making a Booking on an Event 1. When you have found an event you would like to book on select Request a place Page 20

2. You will be taken to the Request a Place page. 3. Click on the Terms and Conditions link to read the booking terms and conditions and a pop-up will appear. If you agree to these terms and conditions, click on the box on the request a place page and click Submit to request a place. Page 21

4. A confirmation message will display on screen to confirm the process is complete. If your establishment requires booking authorisation, your CPD Leader will be sent an email prompting them to authorise this booking. 5. When you request for a place has been authorised, the event contact for the event is notified (this will happen straight away if your establishment does not require booking authorisation). 6. When your CPD Leader has approved your booking request an Administrator will need to confirm the booking. You will receive an email once your booking has been confirmed 7. You can follow the progress of your booking from within My CPD > Events due to attend and booking status _top Back to Top Tracking events you are due to attend _top 1. To view events you are due to attend and track the booking status, click on the events due to attend and booking status link in My CPD. 2. This will display all courses you have requested and the booking status on the right hand side will show whether the booking has been confirmed, authorised or if it is still un-confirmed. Page 22

3. You can view the full details of the event by clicking on the Show details link 4. Download documents attached by clicking on the Download documents link Back to Top _top Cancel a booking _top 1. To cancel a booking click on the Cancel a booking link in My CPD, click Cancel Booking in the top menu navigation or click Cancel booking in Events due to attend and booking status. 2. On this page you are shown a list of your bookings on upcoming events with the option to cancel the booking. To cancel a booking click on the Cancel booking link. Page 23

3. You will be prompted to complete a cancellation request and this will be sent to the Event Contact. To view the cancellation policy click on the Cancellation Policy link, if you agree to this click the tick box at the bottom of the cancel request page and click send. 4. If you are unable to view the security code on screen click on the refresh icon to generate a new code 5. Your booking will not automatically be cancelled. The cancellation request will be sent to an Administrator to process and you will be notified when your booking has been fully cancelled Page 24

Back to Top Events attended 1. To view events you have attended click on the events attended link in My CPD. 2. You can view the full details of the event by clicking on the Show details link. Depending on the event you will see different links here. 2.1. If there is a Document attached to the event you will see a Download documents link 2.2. Click Show Details to view full event information 2.3. If there is an Evaluation for you to complete an Enter Evaluation link will display 2.4. If there is an Impact Evaluation for you to complete an Enter Impact Report link will display Back to Top Evaluations and Certificates 1. If an event has an Evaluation for you to complete you will receive an email to prompt you to complete this. The Evaluation can be accessed within My CPD > Events Attended or by following the link received in the email. Page 25

1.1. Currently the course evaluations are completed by attendees at the end of the training event and inputted onto CPD by the Event Administrator 2. Click on the Enter Evaluation link. 3. Complete the responses and click Save 4. If an event has an Impact Evaluation for you to complete you will receive an email to prompt you to complete this. The Impact Evaluation can be accessed within My CPD > Events Attended or by following the link received in the email. 5. To enter an impact report click on the Enter Impact Report link. Page 26

6. Complete the impact questions and click Save 7. Your certificate of attendance will be available once the register has been marked, if you have attended the event, and when you have completed your Evaluation responses Page 27

8. To print out your certificate, click on the link to download then open the file and select the Print option. Your certificate will be available in PDF format. Back to Top Saved events 1. Events you have saved will be saved in your Saved Events page within My CPD. 2. To view full details of the event click on the Show details link 3. To remove the event from your saved events page click Remove from saved events Page 28

_top Other Events Back to Top 1. You can add other events that you have attended but were not listed on CPD Online by clicking the Add Event link in My CPD. 2. Complete the details of the event and click Save to make a record of your event attendance. Page 29

3. You can view a list of other events you have attended by clicking on the View other events link in the other events section of My CPD. 4. To view full details of the event click on the View link, to edit the event details click on the Edit link and to delete the event click the Delete link. Page 30
