ROSEMONT COLLEGE Dual Admission Agreement Information for DCCC Students Transferring to Rosemont College The information in this booklet is meant to be used as a guide. The transfer Institution reserves the right to make changes at any time. Delaware County Community College Transfer Office 2/2016

DELAWARE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND ROSEMONT COLLEGE DUAL ADMISSION AGREEMENT Delaware County Community College (DCCC) and Rosemont College (RC) enter into this agreement in order to facilitate the transfer of students from DCCC to RC for the purpose of entering a baccalaureate degree program. This agreement terminates the Dual Admission Agreement between Delaware County Community College and Rosemont College signed August 2013. Subject to the terms of this agreement, a student who completes the designated associate s degree program (see below) at DCCC will be guaranteed admission to RC with third year (junior) status. Students intending to attend Rosemont College on a full-time or part-time basis are eligible to participate in this articulation, however only students attending on a full-time basis may complete the requirements for the bachelor's degree program within two years of study, although certain majors may require more than 120 credits. All A.A., A.S., and A.F.A. transfer programs at DCCC, excluding Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Global Studies, Photography, Human Service, Social Work, and Science for Health Professions are designated as part of the Dual Admission Agreement: Terms and Conditions: To be eligible to take advantage of this agreement, the following terms and conditions must be met: Graduate from DCCC with an Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) degree, excluding Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Global Studies, Photography, Human Service, Social Work, and Science for Health Professions; To earn junior standing at RC, students must transfer with a minimum of 58 transferable credits. It is possible that some DCCC courses, although part of the Associate degree program at DCCC, may not be transferable to RC. Achieve a grade of "C" or above for any and all courses transferred to RC including courses transferred to and accepted by DCCC from other institutions; A maximum of 66 transferable college credits from a community college will transfer to RC. Any transferrable courses completed at a four year institution can transfer for additional credits beyond the 66 from a community college. Speak to a RC admissions representative for details. Remaining courses must be completed at RC as there is a 30 credit residency

requirement. In addition, at least half of the requirements in the major or area of specialization, the comprehensive examination and/or any special examinations required for licensure and/or certification programs must also be completed at RC; DCCC students will sign a Dual Admission Intent to Enroll Form before completing 45 college-transferable credits at DCCC, this includes credits that were transferred to DCCC from other institution. The Dual Admission Intent to Enroll Form will supplement the application form to RC and affirm the student's intention to attend RC after completion of a designated associate degree program at DCCC; Enroll at Rosemont on a full-time or part-time basis; Graduate from DCCC with a minimum GPA of 2.0; Enroll at Rosemont within one year of DCCC graduation; Do not attend another institution of higher education between the time they graduate from DCCC and enroll at Rosemont; Submit a final DCCC transcript to Rosemont College to verify that the conditions of this agreement have been met. Transfer credits from other institutions which are accepted by DCCC will count as transfer credits by RC if the grade is "C" or above and the courses fulfill program requirements. Official transcripts from all transfer colleges must be sent to the Rosemont College Office of Admissions; and, International Students who complete the associate degree at DCCC are exempt from taking the TOEFL or IELTS. Obligations of Rosemont College: Waive the $35 admissions application fee; Send students who have completed an Intent to Enroll Form correspondence regarding acceptance in the semester in which they complete the Intent to Enroll Form. Students are required to complete an admission application. Provide DCCC students who participate in this articulation all the rights and privileges afford to all Rosemont College students. Students with a DCCC cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 and above, who will be enrolling at Rosemont College on a full time basis are eligible to receive scholarships. These scholarships are renewable each year at Rosemont College contingent upon maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. For the 2016-2017 academic year, the amounts vary between $3,500 and $7,500. These scholarships along with Rosemont Tuition are subject to change. Students who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may also be eligible to receive other federal, state and Rosemont College need-based grants as well as other types of financial aid. Students must attend Rosemont on a full-time basis to be eligible for the merit based scholarships.

Rosemont College Transfer Scholarships 2016-2017 GPA Resident Commuter 3.0-4.0 $7,500 $5,000 2.0-2.99 $4,500 $3,500 In addition to merit based scholarships, any DCCC student who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), is eligible for an additional $1,500 annual scholarship. Students must show proof of membership, maintain a 3.2 while at RC to renew it, and attend Rosemont on a full-time basis. The scholarship is renewable for two years. There is no obligation on the part of the DCCC student if the student decides not to transfer to RC. There is no fee required for the Dual Admission Intent to Enroll Form. General Education Requirements: Appendix A outlines the courses at DCCC that would fulfill the RC General Education requirements. Courses taken outside of Appendix A should be approved by RC before taken or the student may not receive credit for the course. This agreement does not ensure that all general education requirements at Rosemont College will be fulfilled by the DCCC transfer credits of the student in question. Additional courses may need to be taken at RC to fulfill RC s general education requirements. If any of the terms described in this agreement are not met, RC shall determine appropriate transfer of credit and admission on an individual course basis. Joint Obligations: DCCC and RC will assure that appropriate personnel in their respective institutions are aware of this agreement and will support it and will designate a representative to serve as institutional liaison and coordinate the Dual Admission process. This agreement will automatically renew unless personnel from DCCC and RC determine that a meeting is necessary to review and/or amend this agreement. Either institution may terminate this agreement at any time by written notice. In the event that the agreement is not renewed, RC will honor the agreement and admit DCCC students who have already signed the Dual Admission Intent to Enroll Form. RC will provide opportunities for meetings with students on DCCC campuses to provide information and assistance in matriculating to RC. Faculty, staff and administrators of both institutions are encouraged to visit the campuses of each institution. The RC Office of Undergraduate Admissions will provide DCCC with promotional literature which will be used to assist DCCC students and periodically exchange data and documents which contribute to the maintenance and improvement of this agreement. RC and DCCC will jointly develop and implement advertising and promotional initiatives to communicate the benefits of the Dual Admission Agreement between DCCC and RC. This agreement will become effective beginning February 2016. Signatures are on file in the Transfer Office.

Appendix A Guide for Transferring Credit from Delaware County Community College to Rosemont College s General Education Curriculum The General Education Curriculum applies to all first-time and transfer undergraduate students at Rosemont College. The following courses are recommended to satisfy the general education requirements needed for graduation. A maximum of 66 credit hours from a community college can be transferred. Courses can only be used once towards the Core. Other courses listed below may transfer as electives. Rosemont College DCCC Recommended Courses I. The Core Writing and Oral Communication Skills- A two semester sequence of college level writing with communications and presentation skills. ENG 100, ENG 112 6 crs. Ethics in Action- The rational investigation of questions about ethics. PHI 110 Multiculturalism or Gender- Celebrates diversity and acknowledges the importance of the Rosemont College tradition of inclusion. ART 112, HIS 201, HIS 256, SOC 215, PSY 225 Global Awareness- Divided into two areas. Students must take 3 credits in either Global Awareness Culture or Multiculturalism and Gender. Any Foreign Language POL 200, HIS 254, HIS 255 3 or 6 crs. Foreign Languages Depending upon language placement you may be required to take one or two classes*. ARB, FRE, GRE, ITA, RUS, SPA any two classes in the same language 3-6 crs.

Creative Expression- Creative Expression acknowledges the educational philosophy of Rosemont s founding principles. Among these principles is the incorporation of the arts into education. ART 130, ART 140, ART 141, ART 145, ART 160, DRA 110, DRA 130, ENG 205, ENG 206, ENG 207, ENG 208, ENG 209 Senior Capstone- This course is required of all students in their major in their senior year. Its purpose is to synthesize key elements of The Core foundation. MUST BE COMPLETED AT ROSEMONT COLLEGE II. Developing the Core Social Science- This area includes Sociology, Psychology, Economics and Political Science. ECO 210, ECO220, POL 100-210, PSY 120, PSY 130, PSY 140, PSY 225, SOC 100, SOC 110, SOC 120, SOC 130, SOC 180, SOC 215 Religious Studies- All students must take two courses in religious studies. Students will take a class that is about religion in a broader light, and a class more focused on the Catholic faith. 6 crs. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving- Can include a course in Mathematics but is not limited to courses in Mathematics. It also includes logic from Philosophy, Economics, Statistics, and Business. HUM 160, HUM 162, HUM 163, HUM 167 Second course reflects the Catholic mission of the College and must be taken at Rosemont College. ECO 210, ECO 220, MAT 120, MAT 121, MAT 135, MAT 136, MAT 151, MAT 152, MAT 160, MAT 161, BUS 220 The Humanities- Humanities encompasses disciplines such as Literature, History, Philosophy, etc. ENG 214-250, HIS 110, HIS 120, HIS 130, HIS 140, PHI 100, PHI 110 Science- Science includes the traditional first course for science majors in Chemistry and Biology. Non-science majors can take Global BIO 110-230, CHE 110-201, EES 110, EES 111

Environmental Issues (Chemistry) and Issues in Biology (at Rosemont). BIO 102, CHE 101 and CHE 102, PHY courses, or ESS 100, 102 or 103 4 crs. II. Enacting the Core The Experiential Learning Component- Internships, Service Learning, Study Abroad, Undergraduate Research (Biology Only). MUST BE TAKEN AT ROSEMONT COLLEGE *Students who complete a Foreign Language at DCCC are not required to take a Foreign Language Placement Exam at Rosemont. If a Foreign Language is not completed at DCCC, a Placement Exam will be required upon matriculation at Rosemont. **The student is required to take 6 credit hours of foreign language and 3 credit hours of global studies. However, if the student wishes to take a placement exam and places into a foreign language class ay the 300 level or above, the student will be required to take only 3 credits or foreign language instruction. If the student is only required to take 3 credit hours of foreign language instruction, the student will be required to take 6 credit hours in the global studies area. 2/2016
