ELIGIBILITY FOR LOWER PENNSYLVANIA IN-STATE TUITION RATE ARTICULATION AGREEMENT IN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY BETWEEN JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT This document establishes a transfer articulation agreement between Jamestown Community College (JCC) Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn College). Its purpose is to afford students the opportunity to pre-plan their college careers, to facilitate the transfer process from JCC to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Emergency Management Technology degree at Penn College. GENERAL GUARANTEE OF ADMISSION AND STANDING Students who graduate from JCC with an Associate in Art (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree are guaranteed acceptance into the B.S. Emergency Management Technology degree at Penn College provided they have a minimum grade of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) for each JCC course that is transferred toward meeting Penn College degree requirements. Students who transfer 60 or more credits that fulfill Emergency Management Technology degree requirements at Penn College are guaranteed full junior sting. TRANSFER OF COURSES AND GUARANTEE OF OPPORTUNITY TO GRADUATE Penn College will accept in transfer toward meeting requirements for the B.S Emergency Management Technology degree the equivalent of up to 67 credits listed in Appendix A, leaving as few as 57 credits to be taken at Penn College. At a minimum, students must complete 6 Penn College credits in the final four semesters of the degree profile to satisfy graduation requirements. Regardless of the number of courses that the student transfers, JCC students will spend at least six semesters at Penn College due to the sequencing of required Penn College technical courses. See Appendix B for suggested course sequencing. Students should talk with an advisor at Penn College for details. To remain at full-time status, students may elect to complete an approved minor or a concentration. Coursework fulfilled through credit-by-exam, prior learning assessment, work/life experience, /or Advanced Placement applied to the graduation degree requirements for the A.S., A.A., or the A.A.S. degree at JCC will be accepted for transfer for only those courses listed in Appendix A. Coursework completed at other post-secondary institutions transferred to JCC may be considered for transfer. Students must submit an official copy of transcripts from all institutions

2 attended. Upon receipt of official transcripts, Penn College will evaluate for transfer courses must be completed with a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher to be eligible for transfer. 4 Memorum of Understing Between Jamestown Community College And Pennsylvania College of Technology Purpose, Scope, Terms of Agreement: The intent of this agreement is to encourage Jamestown Community College graduates to continue their educational pathways at Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn College). In acknowledgement of the two colleges shared geographical economic regions, with the exceptions specified immediately below, graduates of Jamestown Community College will be accepted into their choice of major at Penn College. This agreement does not guarantee acceptance of Jamestown Community College graduates into Penn College competitive majors or guarantee acceptance into Penn College programs that have a waiting list. At the time of signing of this agreement, competitive majors were Dental Hygiene (DH), Nursing (NR), Occupational Therapy Assistant (OC), Radiography (RD), Surgical Technology (SG), Physician Assistant (BPA). Students can contact Penn College for a current list of competitive majors majors with a waiting list. With the stipulations noted immediately below, students will also be eligible for Pennsylvania (PA) in-state tuition fees, based on the established tuition fees for the academic year of enrollment. Any student who graduates from Jamestown Community College with an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree through Summer 2017 will be eligible for the PA in-state tuition rate. This eligibility will be in effect for students enrolling at Penn College from Fall 2015 through Fall Penn College will review the agreement in Spring 2016, will notify Jamestown Community College of its decision to extend or discontinue this agreement by May 0, Should the agreement be discontinued, currently enrolled Penn College students who are Jamestown Community College graduates, Jamestown Community College graduates who enroll at Penn College through Fall 2018, will receive the PA in-state tuition through completion of the degree being pursued as of Fall To take advantage of the terms of this agreement, Jamestown Community College graduates must hold an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree. Certificate programs are not included in this agreement. Process: Jamestown Community College students must submit a Penn College Application for Admission. The application fee will be waived if a paper application is submitted receipt or anticipated receipt of an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree is designated on the application. The application fee will also be waived if the application is submitted electronically during a Penn College Open House event or after participating in an official Penn College campus visit. The PA in-state tuition rate will not be extended until all official transcripts are received processed by the Penn College Admissions Office. The final Jamestown Community College transcript must confirm year month of degree awarded degree conferred. Transcripts from each postsecondary institution must be submitted to Penn College. Courses must be completed with a C or higher (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) to be accepted for transfer.

5 Coursework completed by students will be evaluated on an individual basis. Credit awarded under the terms of transfer articulation agreements will be predefined within the specific agreements. Jamestown Community College Penn College will continue to establish articulation agreements to facilitate transfer into Penn College bachelor s degree programs. Students entering Penn College may be required to take placement tests to determine proper course placement. Penn College s transfer policies will apply. The maximum number of Jamestown Community College credits that will transfer toward meeting bachelor s degree requirements varies by major. At a minimum, students must complete 6 Penn College credits in the final four semesters of the degree profile. A maximum of 0 credits will be accepted for transfer into an associate degree major, with at least 18 of the credits completed in the final two semesters of the degree profile. Penn College will accept CLEP credits, AP credits, work/life experience credits as granted under the stards of Jamestown Community College. Credits accepted through transfer to Jamestown Community College will be evaluated for transfer to Penn College upon receipt of official transcripts from the originating institution. Courses transferred as part of an earned associate s degree will be evaluated for equivalency by Penn College without regard to the completion date of the courses. However, Penn College will review coursework that is both more than ten years old not transferred as part of an earned associate s degree. International students applying for transfer must follow guidelines for International Transfer as outlined on the Penn College website.
