Cylinder bores have super polished finish for reduced friction and smooth operation. Bores are machined to a finish of Ra 0.5 to Ra 0. depending on size. Stainless steel bolting allows full relaxation of the spring tension for safety, and for ease of conversion between double acting and spring return. Travel stop is stainless steel and allows for +/ 5 degrees of adjustment. ISO 51 valve adaptation. Namur mounting for switches, positioners, and solenoids. Blowout proof, onepiece drive shaft is machined completely from solid bar. The shaft is available in steel, stainless steel and our unique CNI/PTFE. Unique twin guide bar feature absorbs the rack and pinion load to ensure optimum teeth engagement and eliminate wear. Patented encapsulated springs are located inside the piston rack. Precision engineered pistons have four encapsulated wear pads to absorb adverse side loading at the critical start of each stroke. Orings are Buna N standard with Viton available as an option, and all are standard diameters. CNI is an autocatalytic nickel bath process that does not require any of the rectifiers, electrical current or anodes used in electroless nickel plating. The unique preparation and nickel bath process impregnates the internal and external surfaces of the TechTorq actuator. The material deposition process is autocatalytic, as once the initial layer of nickel has formed on the substrate, that layer and all subsequent become the catalyst that causes the reaction to continue until the required thickness is achieved. The deposit thickness is uniform and controlled to 1 micron. This uniformity of deposit thickness and quality is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to achieve by any other method.
