CHINA: TANG & SONG DYNASTIES What impact did the Sui dynasty have on China in the Postclassical period? Compare and contrast the Tang and Song dynasties. Who was Empress Wu? What impact did she have on society? Describe the impact (political/social) that Confucianism had on Chinese society during the Tang and Song dynasties. How/why did Europeans gain a distinctive edge in the world economy? What role did companies such as the British East India Company play in the development of the world economy? What is the Columbian Exchange? Provide examples of items that were exchanged (including where they were originally from).
