Background: Security Officers and Customers who authorise payments use a Security Device to generate one-time passwords to access NAB Connect and authorise their payments. Customers have the choice of selecting either a Physical Token or a Mobile Token. This QRG provides NAB Connect users with instructions to Download, Activate and Login to NAB Connect using a Mobile Token. Before commencing, please check: 1. Your email address and mobile number have been updated in NAB Connect via the My Settings button in the top right corner of the screen. 2. You are using either an Apple or Android smartphone 3. You have an Apple Store or Google Play Store ID Process summary 1.3 If you are using an Android smartphone: i) Tap the Google Play Store icon ii) Search for NAB Connect Authenticator app iii) Tap on the app and then tap INSTALL iv) Enter your Google password if prompted v) Tap Open to launch the app Note: There are Apple App Store and Google Play Store links in your Activation Email. If you access the email on your smartphone and click on either of these, you will be taken directly to the NAB Connect Authenticator app in the respective Stores. 1 Download NAB Connect Authenticator App 2 Activation 3 Login to NAB Connect 1 Download NAB Connect Authenticator App 1.1 Login to your Apple Store or Google Play Store with your smartphone 1.2 If you are using an Apple smartphone: i) Tap the App Store icon ii) Search for NAB Connect Authenticator app iii) Tap GET followed by INSTALL iv) Enter your Apple password when prompted v) Tap Open to launch the app
2 Activation 2.1 Tap on the NAB Connect Authenticator icon to launch the app 2.3 Confirm that you have everything you need and then tap Start activation Note: If you are using an Android smartphone, you will see an additional screen. Tap on Scan QR code to continue the activation process. 2.4 There are two methods to activate the NAB Connect Authenticator app, dictated by where you choose to view your Activation Email. You can either view the email on your Desktop PC or smartphone. Method 1: Activation Email on your Desktop PC 1) Open the Activation Email on your Desktop PC 2) Scan the QR code in the email by fitting the code within the rectangular field on your smartphone screen and allowing the app to register it. This will open the Enter SMS code screen. 2.2 Tap on Activate to progress to the Start activation screen which contains instructions.
3) Retrieve the SMS code contained in the message sent to you on your smartphone, and enter this 8-digit code in the app and tap Continue. 6) Read the information on the screen and tap I understand as the final step in the activation process. 4) Enter a new 4-digit PIN. This PIN will allow you to access the NAB Connect Authenticator app in the future. 7) The NAB Connect Authenticator app is successfully activated and is ready to generate one-time passwords. 5) Re-enter the same 4-digit PIN to confirm (as shown above). The app will be activated within 30 seconds.
Method 2: Activation Email on your smartphone Open the Activation Email on your smartphone Tap the Tap to activate the App on this device link. Tapping this link bypasses the need to scan the QR code contained in your Activation Email. The NAB Connect Authenticator app will launch and open the Start activation screen. Tap on Start activation which will take you to the Enter SMS code screen. As outlined in Steps 3 to 7 in Method 1 above, enter your 8-digit SMS code, and enter and re-enter your new 4-digit PIN which will activate your NAB Connect Authenticator app, ready to generate one-time passwords.
3 Login to NAB Connect 3.1 Obtain your 10-digit User ID which can be found on your NAB Connect Welcome Letter. 3.3 The NAB Connect Login screen will be displayed. Enter your 10-digit User ID. 3.4 Launch the NAB Connect Authenticator app on your smartphone. 3.2 Select NAB Connect from the nab.com.au menu.
3.5 Enter your 4-digit PIN into the app. This will generate an 8-digit one-time password. 3.6 Enter this one-time password into the password field on the NAB Connect Login screen and click Login. Note: The first time you login, you will be prompted to provide responses to at least five security questions, which are compulsory.
