Show rules Although unaffiliated, all classes are run in accordance with either British Show jumping or British Dressage rules. Neither the organisers nor any persons acting on their behalf accepts any liability for loss, damage, accident or injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other person, vehicle or property whatsoever. The decision of the Judge and / or organiser is final. Any objections should be given in writing within 10 minutes of the end of the class. The deposit of 10 will only be returned if the objection is upheld. Failure to comply with rules and regulations will result in disqualification. 10 3
Dressage and Qualification Information Rosettes 1st to 6th, plus special rosettes to all other combinations. Intro classes are limited to combinations never to have won a prelim or above test. All tests to be judged by trained Dressage Judges Shotfield Championship qualification: The top six combinations of each class in the April to August shows will qualify for the September Championship, qualification will pass down the line. Shotfield Points championship: Points will be awarded for placing's 1st-6th in every class throughout the series. 1st-12pts, 2nd 10pts, 3rd 8pts, 4th 6pts, 5th 4pts, 6th 2pts. For each horse and rider combination their highest placing s in two classes at each event will be counted towards their overall points total. The overall points champion will be presented at the end of the championship show in September. Shotfield Junior points championship: Points will be awarded to the top six junior (16 and under) riders in all classes at all events (dressage and show jumping). For each horse and rider combination their highest placing s in two classes at each event will be counted towards their overall points total. The overall junior points champion will be presented at the end of the championship show in September. A special Junior league rosette will be present to the highest place junior rider in each class at all dressage shows. Shotfield September Championship: This is open to both qualified and non qualified combinations. Championship prizes will be awarded to the top three qualified combinations: Championship prizes include: championship rosettes, sashes, rugs, saddle cloths, head collars, lead rope, grooming products and much more including a perpetual silver cup for the Novice Champion. The championship includes ridden presentations. Cricklands qualification: All riders that achieve 58% or over in any of the intro (12 and under), prelim, novice or elementary classes at any of the shows will qualify for the correlating class at the Championship of GB in October final at the David Broome event centre. Please ensure you pick up your qualification card at the secretary. 4 Shotfield Equestrian offers a five star full livery service that includes stabling, all year round turn out, feeding, all day to day care and access to all facilities. The team at Shotfield have over 25 years experience and the owners are based on site. Each livery package can be tailored to suit the individual horse and owners needs. Additional services available at Shotfield include: schooling, exercising, training, backing, grooming, clipping, show preparation, competing and attending vet and farrier visits. The facilities at Shotfield include: two all weather arenas, full set of show jumps, horse walker, equissage, solarium, hot/cold wash down, quality grazing, close to TROT rides, mud free yard and club house with tea and coffee making facilities. The arenas and jumps are available for hire at 20 per hour for up to three horse, additional horse are charged at 5 per horse. A UKCC level 2 coach who trained with British Showjumping is based at Shotfield and is available for both flatwork, jumping and stable management lessons for both individuals and groups of all levels. She is fully insured, health and safety and child protection trained. Coaching is available at Shotfield or at the clients own yard. Rosedene Residential Care Home Providing residential care for the elderly in a safe, homely and welcoming environment. Sunshine tour qualification: The top four of each class at the April- August show will qualify for the sunshine tour championship to be help in September at Hickstead show ground. Please ensure you pick up your qualification card from the secretary. Qualification can pass down the line to 6th place if combinations have already qualified. RoR Regional Points league: All events are registered with the Retraining of Racehorses. Those collecting points towards the regional points league should get their performance score sheet sign by the secretary on the day. Entry fee for each class is 12. A caller is available at 1 per test (please state on entry form). Entries close on the Thursday prior to each show, times available on the Friday prior to each show from midday. Test sheets can be collect from Shotfield Equestrian or competitors can email a request for a test sheet. Venue information Both arena and warm up are on all weather surfaces at all shows. There is plenty of parking for lorries and trailers. Refreshments are on sale on site including; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks, cakes, snacks, pannis and lots more. Location: Shotfield Equestrian in situated on the main road through Preston (on the right if coming from Wingham/on the left if coming from Thanet). To be run over two round, second round against the clock. Class 3: Mini novice jumping Incl. Sunshine tour qualifier Height of fences: 40-50cm (1 6-1 9 ) Open to combinations never to have competed in a class bigger than 60cm. May be assisted. To be run over two rounds, second round against the clock. Classes 5-8: distances between double and combinations will be altered for horses and ponies (ponies will jump first). The entry fee for each class is 12 if received before the show, 14 on the day. Classes 2-8: Sash to the winner of each class, placing's 1st to 6th and rosettes to all double clears. Cricklands qualification: All riders who gain a double clear in class 5-8 will qualify for the Cricklands show jumping final and may then select the final of their choice. Class 4 is open to all but riders 10 years and under who gain a double clear will qualify for Cricklands. Sunshine tour qualification: The top four of each class will qualify for the sunshine tour championship held at Hickstead show ground in September. Please note riders being led are not eligible to qualify. Qualification will pass down to sixth place if any of the top four have already qualified. Please collect qualification cards from the secretary. Shotfield Junior points championship: Points will be awarded to the six highest placed junior (16 and under) riders in all classes at all events (dressage and show jumping).
