Winter Internship Program (WIP) PGDM Batch 2013-15 Objectives of Internship: 1. Provide students the opportunity to test their interest in a particular career before permanent commitments are made. 2. Students will develop skills in the application of theory to practical work situations. 3. Students will develop skills and techniques directly applicable to their careers. 4. Aid students in adjusting from Institute to full-time employment. 5. Provide students the opportunity to develop attitudes conducive to effective interpersonal relationships. 6. Increase a student's sense of responsibility. 7. Students will be prepared to enter into full-time employment in their area of specialization upon graduation. 8. Students will acquire good work habits. 9. Students will develop employment records/references that will enhance employment opportunities. 10. Provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the formal functional activities of a participating organization. 11. Provide students the opportunity to understand informal organizational interrelationships. 12. It will enhance advancement possibilities of management students. 13. Students will have higher levels of academic performance. 14. It will increase student earning potential upon graduation. 15. Motivate students to continue their education by providing practical exposure. 1

Methodology: Our Specialized Faculty members have designed various project titles for all streams of students (i.e. Marketing, Finance, HR) from these project titles, student can select topic of their interest and we will give geographical area, with in this area they can choose any company and do their project.they can go to their home town also for any good company. The duration of internship would be 180 hrs (9 hrs per day) = 20 days. GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT WORK - 1) Students should generally undertake the project work in their intended area of specialization only. 2) The project topic should be finalized in consultation with the internal project guide allocated to you 3) No two students should do their project on the same topic in the same organization, in the same city/branch. 4) The students should inform the confirmation of their project work and submit a copy of the confirmation letter to the placement cell. 5) The students should submit the progress report of their project work every fortnight to the internal guide so as to enrich the quality of their work. 6) As per the syllabus the viva will be held for this project. Comments: The students are advised to contact their internal Mentors for further assistance/ information and for taking personal guidance. The list of Mentors is displayed on the notice board. 2
