NCATSU GIS Facilities Model Using ArcGIS Online School of Technology Department of Built Environment Tony E. Graham, D. Eng., Associate Professor North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University

An ArcGIS Online Approach ABSTRACT This project will show facility managers how ArcGIS Online can be used to develop the university s facility operations and management capabilities. Data sets were collected for power and property values. The BRAE water system calculator was used to determine flat roof water runoff annual amounts. The tree canopy, parking and grass areas were directly recorded into the GIS model in order to direct the university towards a LEED certified college campus. Buffers were used for Emergency first responders proximity to campus. This model was developed by undergraduate students in twelve (12) weeks and presented to the Assistant Vice Chancellor Facilities www.ncat.edu
