FAQ s General 1. What is Arccos? Arccos is the first ever, fully automatic, real- time GPS golf stat tracking system. Once you play with it, we don t think you ll ever want to play without it again. Not only does Arccos record every aspect of your game, with our proprietary Tour Analytics platform, we ll analyze all your stats, telling you what they mean for your game. 2. How does Arccos work? Our smart club sensors attach to the grip end of your club and are paired directly with our free iphone app. Once paired, our sensors detect all the stats you ever wanted to know about your game. Stats are instantly available in your hand, as you play. You can also check your data after your round, on your phone or from any computer, anywhere. 3. Do I have to do anything to get Arccos to record my shots? No. That s the Arccos magic. No extra steps, no extra devices. No need to tap, touch, trigger or do anything in order for the app to capture your stats. After you pair your sensors to your app, just play. 4. Does Arccos only work with an iphone? At this time, yes. We support all iphone platforms from 4s and onwards as they all come with Bluetooth 4.0 technology which integrates with our system. Rest assured, if you re on another platform, an Arccos system for you isn t far behind. Android and Windows Phone will be coming out. 5. Where should my phone be while I m playing? For the most accurate data, we suggest you carry your phone with you for a simple reason: the GPS chip is in your phone. The easiest thing to do is to carry it in your pocket. We ve noticed that even people who have never carried their phone with them forget it s even there after the first couple of holes. 6. What courses can I use Arccos on? Good news! As of now, we have every single course in the USA mapped. That s 16,00 courses, so we re pretty confident you ll find your course. If you re playing on a brand new course that s opened this month and it s not mapped yet, call us. We can fix that easily. 7. Does Arccos work internationally? Arccos works everywhere but if you re outside the US in some beautiful exotic location, you won t yet get all of the same stats you ll get here. Expect to have all
your stats tracked, but since international courses are not yet mapped, you ll have to wait to get some features like fairways hit and GiRs. 8. What happens if my phone dies during a round? That s a bummer if that happens, but all your data will be saved up to the point where your phone dies. 9. How much juice do I need in my phone to capture a round? Not much. We estimate you only need about 50% of your battery life on your phone to record a round. 10. Can I run other apps while I have Arccos open? Yes, of course. You can also keep using your phone if you want. Arccos will run in the quietly background. 11. Will Arccos sponsor me if I make it to the PGA tour? Yes. 12. What s your policy on refunds? We think you ll love Arccos, but if you don t, we still want you to be happy. We have a 30- day no questions asked policy. So go ahead, give us a try. 13. What s this tour analytics platform? Our proprietary analytics system takes every stat captured and translates it, letting you know what it means for your game. This means Arccos doesn t simply record your game, we interpret it, making Arccos the easiest way to improve your game. Our sensors weigh a mere 9 grams, making them virtually weightless. Do they impact my swing?
No, not at all. We say they have zero swing impact since they are so small and light. Most people forget they re even there after the first hole. In our blind swing tests, even veteran pros could not tell which clubs had sensors on them and which did not. Do I need to sensor all of my clubs? We recommend it, as only clubs with sensors on them will record your game. Can I pair any sensor with any club? Yes, all our sensors can work on all your clubs except for our putter sensor which is made specifically for the unique shape of a putter handle. About our batteries How long does the sensor battery last? A long time! Our sensors will last about 100 rounds, which, for most golfers is more than a few years worth of golf. Clubs you use most frequently like your driver and putter may need replacing more frequently. What kind of battery does Arccos use? A standard one that s easy to replace. So don t worry. How do I know if I need to replace the sensor battery? Great question. And lucky for you, we ll tell you. When your batteries are running low, an indicator will appear in your dashboard when you login. You can also press the button on top of the sensor at any point and the app will let you know how your battery life looks. Advanced Product Questions 1. How does Arccos help my game? Arccos is the easiest way to improve your game. Why? Simple. It tracks every part of your game, and then analyzes it, while you re on the course where it matters most. Use Arccos to make smarter choices on the course, so your choices are based in data instead of habit or guesswork. 2. What data do I get from Arccos? Arccos will tell you all your basic data: distances, gir, fairways hit, etc. It will also interpret your stats, with our tour analytics platform, giving you a handicap breakdown by different parts of your game (e.g. driving handicap, putting handicap, etc.) 3. How does Arccos know when I hit a fairway or a GiR?
We have all 16,000 courses in the USA GPS mapped. By knowing the location of your drive, we calculate whether it was in the fairway or the rough. Same goes for GiR. 4. How accurate is the putter sensor? Very. The putter sensor is super sensitive and designed to detect even 1- foot putts. 5. How accurate is the GPS? Very. The GPS captures your stats within 3-5 yards for any given shot. 6. Can Arccos tell me distance to the green? Yes. Since we have all golf courses GPS mapped, we give you the ability to know the distance to any point on the hole by simply pointing to the location on the map. 7. Can I see my data as I play? Absolutely. As soon as you start playing, your stats show up in your app. It s instant, so check out how you re playing while you re playing. 8. Does Arccos keep my score? Yes. Simple as that. 9. What happens if I play with the sensors in the rain? Arccos will still work it s magic. Our sensors are designed for rain or shine. 11. How do I power on/off my sensors? There s no on/off switch. Our smart sensors know when you re playing and when you re not. They ll switch off automatically when you re not playing. How s that for easy? 12. Won t the Bluetooth connection between my sensors and iphone drain the sensor batteries? We use advanced power saving algorithms using Bluetooth Low Energy to optimize energy consumption and that is why your sensors will last you over 50 rounds for even the most used clubs. 13. Can I take practice shots? You can take as many practice swings as you d like. We distinguish between your practice swing and actual swing and only your actual shots will be detected. 14. What happens if I take shots at the driving range? Don t worry, that won t cause any issues. Just remember to only Start your round in the app once you are done with your driving range session.
Questions about shipping and ordering 1. When will I get my Arccos? Our first wave of Arccos boxes is scheduled to ship late summer 2014. How many sensors come in the box? You ll get 14 sensors, one for each club. The putter sensor will be shaped differently than the rest since the putter grips have a unique shape. 3.
