Danièle CHAUVEL Management, Leadership & Organization Sophia-Antipolis CV Biography Danièle Chauvel is an affiliated Research professor at Skema, (Sophia Antipolis, France), member of the SKEMA Research Center in Knowledge, Technology and Organization and teaching Knowledge Management. Her main expertise focuses on the human aspect of management and organizational dynamics: knowledge management, change management, and innovation management. Previously, she held managerial positions in the field of executive education and MBA curricula in an international academic environment, developed theoretical and applied research in KM and worked as a consultant with a Finnish group. She co-founded and was Director of eckm: The European Center for Knowledge Management (Marseille). Earlier, she was Director of Information Center at the Theseus Institute, in Sophia Antipolis, where she also cofounded and co-directed the Theseus Knowledge Management Competence Center (KMC2). She designed several clusters on KM and has regularly lectured on the MBA, Master and Engineer programs in several French Business and Engineer schools. She is active as a specialist in Knowledge Management in French think tanks and acted as an expert in Knowledge Management in several EU projects. Her research is dedicated to the evolution of Management principles, focusing on the role of Knowledge Management and its main trends and current development. She has authored and coauthored close to 55 articles, chapters and proceedings on Knowledge Management. She has co-edited a book, Knowledge Horizons: the Present and the Promise of Knowledge Management, with C. Despres (Butterworth- Heinemann) and edited Leading Issues in Innovation Research (API). She holds a Master of Sciences in Social Sciences Research Methodologies from Open University, UK and a M.A. in foreign languages. She took an American language program at Columbia University, NY, USA.
