TTO NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Needs Assessment Methodology Realized during 15 Mar 30 April The methodology used is a combination of data capture through; survey instruments, presentation by selected TTOs, SWOT analysis workshop and in depth interviews using semi-structured methodology with each TTO staff. Needs assessment reports for each TTO Status and Focus, Key Strengths and Short to Mid- Term Needs findings
Observations in General Faculty engagement efforts for TTOs are generally weak. There is lack of focus and specialization. A critical mass of individuals who understand TT from a practical perspective is missing. Portfolios of actionable IP for TTOs are small and low in quality. Interaction between TTA funds and TTOs are not sufficient. TTOs need to develop more sustainable revenue capture from start up efforts.
