INSULATING CONCRETE FORMWORK SYSTEM BUILDING SOLUTIONS FOR THE HOUSING & COMMERCIAL SECTORS ReadyWallform

DESIGNING HOMES & BUILDINGS WITH EFFICIENCY Practical, energy efficient construction to accommodate our future needs - ReadyWallform is designed to offer a range of structural wall solutions to suit all building applications. The monolithic, insulated concrete system of building is quick to construct, yet offers levels of energy performance significantly better than available from slower, more traditional approaches to building. An Insulating Concrete Formwork (ICF) system, Ready Wallform is based on large hollow lightweight block components which lock together without intermediate bedding materials to provide a formwork system into which concrete is poured. Once set, the concrete becomes a high strength structure and the formwork remains in place as thermal insulation, with U-values ranging from 0.30 W/m2K down to 0.11 W/m2K - ideal for zero energy buildings. The building process is quick, tidy and precise, resulting in lower labour and equipment requirements than alternative methods. Creative home and building designs (without compromising performance) are achieved with the availability of a comprehensive range of Wallform components, which is further enhanced by the built-in option to incorporate reinforcement for basement or multi-storey projects. The Ready Wallform system has a range of core thicknesses to suit a wide variety of end-uses and combined with the flexibility of working with CEMEX Readymix concrete, allows for greater creativity in the design of the building and making architectural dreams more achievable. This flexibility also allows greater choice in other materials used such as floors, roof systems, cladding and windows, enabling better specification and use of sustainable materials. As a highly insulated structure, Ready Wallform may be clad internally and externally with a wide range of finishes, including plaster, masonry, curtain walling and render systems. APPLICATIONS INCLUDE: Apartments Low-rise office blocks Care Homes Hotels Private and Social Housing Student Accommodation

READY WALLFORM BUILDING SOLUTIONS The use of Ready Wallform ICF is not just limited to housing, with the product offering an array of building solutions to enable you to build in efficiency to your projects. KEY BENEFITS: Fast & simple to construct Cost-effective solution against traditional methods Low, zero or passive energy performance Sustainable and recyclable materials Flexible designs FEATURES OF WALLFORM COMPONENTS: 1 The tongues on the top and grooves on the bottom of components are arranged to interlink and crosslink in a modular grid of 62.5mm 2 The tongues and grooves have a positive interlock so that the elements cannot be carried away by a gust of wind 3 The hollow core of the components is calculated to optimise economy of design and building processes 4 All faces have grooves 2.5mm deep and 17.5mm wide in a pattern repeated every 62.5mm to eliminate thermal bridging. These grooves have a dovetail profile to provide a mechanical key for the application of plaster 5 Location detail for horizontal reinforcement 6 End sets are inserted above and below the bridges to make a closure when forming corners, reveals and wall ends 7 The bridges are tapered at the top and bottom to avoid trapping air during concreting 8 The endpiece is used to form the closure where this does not coincide with the bridge THE PROBLEM SOLVER... WITH PERFORMANCE BONUS TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION PROBLEM AREAS AVOIDED USING READY WALLFORM CAVITY TRAYS - not required DPC S - incorporated in the concrete core BRIDGED CAVITIES - not applicable MOVEMENT JOINTS - not required SETTLEMENT CRACKS - strong monolithic concrete structure minimises risk INSULATION - complete framework system to contain the concrete = complete insulation system (including air tightness and thermal bridging) RENDER - modern render systems bond directly to the insulation and do not de-laminate
