Introduction This document describes the generic attributes that all assets within the Infrastructure Asset Data Dictionary require in addition to the specific attributes listed in their respective AD4. Attributes This is the minimum level of information required to make decisions in relation to requirements, surveys and constraints. Attribute Measure/Enumeration Description Status of the physical asset. See BS1192 for status of the virtual asset Asset Status Design Manufactured Logistics On Site Construction Test And Commissioning Commissioned Operational Spare Temporary Decommissioned Removed Asset being designed, but not yet approved for construction Asset has been manufactured/ Fabricated but has not entered the logistics supply chain Asset is in transit from its place of manufacture but has not arrived in the site depot Asset is in the depot/store and is ready for use in construction Asset being procured, built and installed but not yet under formal testing or commissioning Asset under formal test and commissioning programme, but not commissioned Asset that has passed testing and commissioning but is not under control of the Infrastructure Manager Asset that has been commissioned and is under control of Infrastructure Manager Equipment that is available for use, but is not installed Asset which supports a programme of works but will not be handed over to an Infrastructure Manager Asset decommissioned, but remaining on site Asset decommissioned and removed from site
Attribute Measure/Enumeration Description Criticality The criticality of the asset to the Owner/ Operator. Note: BS8544 may provide a more descriptive scale:. And current best practice may separate criticality into compliance criticality, operational criticality, environmental criticality and others. High High criticality for compliance, operational or environmental reasons Medium Standard criticality Facility Region Location Low Low criticality with low compliance, operational or environmental significance Location of the asset according to the top level of COBie spatial structure Location of the asset according to the middle level of COBie spatial structure Location of the asset defined by its AD4 (Linear, area, point etc.) ie lowest level of COBie spatial structure Notes Any further notes as required RFID Number RFID Tag Required Tag Nameplate Required Commissioning Numerical Yes/No/Unknown Yes/No/Unknown The Radio Frequency Identification Tag Number Radio Frequency Identification Tag is required Tag Nameplate is required The date (year) the asset was commissioned Expected economic life of the Asset Expected Life Expected Life Expiry Duration (see IFC Pset_ServiceLife and COBie Type.ExpectedLife ) Expected economic life expiry date (year) based on the commissioning date and the expected economic Life
Note: Properties and Enumeration names should be defined in CamelCase for acceptability to the majority of authoring and database environments. Suggestion. The properties should be grouped by topic to aid legibility and comparisons with other work and to aid the implementation in BIM authoring packages: XXX AssetStatus_UK xxxassetlocation_uk (for use when no spatial model available) Each individual class of assets has class specific attributes that are associated to that individual class. These class specific assets are listed within each AD4 Class document. Approvals Industry sector Representative Comments Road Rail Power Water Government
