Physical Connection 1) Connect the power cord & RJ45 from the PBX to the router/switch 2) Connect the power adapters & RJ45 of your phones to the router/switch 3) Connect Fax machine to the FXS port of the PBX 4) Connect PSTN lines to FXO ports Cable/DSL modem Router/Switch Rj11 to FXO Rj11 to FXS
ip Configuration 1) By default, the PBX & voip phones are in DHCP to obtain ip address from the router/switch 2) Logon to your router, to find out the assigned ip to the PBX 3) Fix the DHCP addresses to the Mac address of the PBX & phones- every time the PBX & phones will get the same addresses from the router Example of a DHCP setup on a router In the example, the addresses are assigned as PBX: 192.168.1.1 1 st voip phone: 192.168.1.105 2 nd voip phone: 192.168.1.115

Default Passwords Default Password of the SpoTel PBX
PBX web GUI logon 1) Open an internet browser, such as IE, Firefox 2) Logon to the PBX by http://ip-address-pbx (192.168.1.100 in our example) 3) To authorize the website certificate if a message appears in your web browser 4) Username: admin 5) ; password: password
Setup Extension 1) By default, a sample of an extension (1001) is installed 2) The default extension password (secret) is the same as the extension number (also 1001 in our example) 3) Setup more extensions (such as 1002, 1003, ) in the same manner if needed
Setup your Voip phones Enter the PBX ip address, extension number & its password Similar phone manual as shown on the right should be found in your phone In our example, : The pbx ip= 192.168.1.100 : Username= extension number=1002 : Secret (Password)=extension number=1002
Setup your SoftPhone For the mobile users, softphone could be downloaded from our website & install on your laptop/pc. So you could make/receive call from your computer.
Test call between extensions 1) Now you should be able to call by dialing the extension number 2) E.g. call 1002 from the phone 1001 Cable/DSL modem Router/Switch Laptop Softphone (1001) (1002)
Setup Trunk 1) By default, all your analog ports (FXO, FXS) should have been setup accordingly to your your order. Zap trunks should have be installed.
Setup Trunk Example of a SIP trunk is disable by default. Modify &/or add more Voip trunks accordingly to your voip info from your service provider - replace 1234567890 in the sample by your username - replace the secret=xxxxxxxx by secret= your voip password - replace the host ip xx.xx.xx.xx by your voip server ip address
Setup Outbound Route By default, a prefix 6 is pre-set to dial an outboud call. Modify the prefix & associated trunks according to your dial plan
Setup Inbound Route Replace the 1234567890 in the pre-configured sample by your PSTN/Voip phone number Modify the destination to the Ring Group/Extension accordingly to your dial plan
DONE!! 1) Now Dial 6 + public phone number. You should be able to make the call. 2) Use your mobile to dial the PSTN/Voip number. You should receive the call on your extension phone 3) ALL DONE for the basic setup. Cable/DSL modem Router/Switch Rj11 to FXO
