Install the SP350 Softphone Installation of NEC SP350 softphone is to be completed after provisioning the product through the ITS Software Store. Once the softphone has been provisioned through the Software Store, you should have access to the receipt page. 1. From the Receipt page, click Start Download
2. You will now be prompted to download Secure Download Manager. To download Secure Download Manager you must do the 4 steps outlined below. Step 1: Download Secure Download Manager Installation File Step 2: Locate the downloaded file from step 1 on your workstation and run it. Step 3: Download the.sdx file. Step 4. Locate the downloaded file from step 3 on your workstation and run it. 3. Once you have completed the installation of the Secure Download Manager you will see the Download Your Software page. Click the Start Download button to begin downloading your NEC SoftPhone. Once you have completed the download of the NEC Softphone, down load the NEC Softphone User Guide to use a tool for using your new softphone.
4. Click Launch to continue the installation of the NEC Softphone.
5. Double click to open the folder SP350 5.1.0.0.zip to continue your installation.
6. Double click to open the folder Install to continue your installation. 7. Double click on the file setup.exe to continue your installation.
NOTE: You may be presented with the option to register your PowerISO download. Feel free to register PowerISO and move forward to install your soft phone. A. Select your preferred language and click the OK button. B. Click the Next button to leave the Welcome screen.
C. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click on the Next button.
D. Select Univerge SV8500/SV7000 and click the Next button. NOTE: The screen below will not appear if you are upgrading to the SP350 soft phone from a prior version of the soft phone.
E. Select Regular version and click on the Next button.
F. Click the Next button on the Choose Destination Location page.
G. Click the Next button on the Select Softphone Plug in page.
H. Select preferred options. 1. Would you like a shortcut on your workstation desktop for the Soft Phone 350? 2. Would you like the Soft Phone 350 to start when you boot up your workstation? NOTE: If you are using the NEC soft phone as your primary phone, you probably want to click Run SP350 at startup
I. Select Standard Panel and click on the Next button.
J. When the SWFTools Installer window appears, click the Install button.
K. When you received the message SWFTools Version 0.8.1 has been installed, click the OK button. L. Restart your workstation 1. Configure your NEC Soft Phone NOTES: The SP350 configuration wizard will appear for you to configure your soft phone. You will either be prompted to configure your SP350 soft phone after your workstation has rebooted (if you selected the Run at Startup option) or when you manually start your SP350 soft phone. Also note, if you are upgrading to the SP350 soft phone from a previous version of the soft phone, you will receive the option below. Click the No button to continue with your phone configuration.
A. Select Input Directly and click the Next button. B. Type in the Call Control (ACT) IP address for your soft phone s PBX. This will be provided to you via email. Click the Next button after you have entered your Call Control IP address.
C. Click the Next button on the screen below.
D. Type 9 in the Access code + Local office code (for CCIS) field and 5 in the Maximum of station number field. Click on the Next button E. Click on Close button.
F. Click the OK button.
G. Login to your soft phone with your phone extension and password. Until you change your password, your password will be you phone s extension. H. Close your soft phone by clicking the X on the top right corner of your phone.
I. Once you have closed your soft phone, do the following steps 1. Open your Start menu. 2. Click on All Programs 3. Click on UNIVERGE Soft Client SP350 4. Click Maintenance J. Type in the password ctiapp and click the login button. Do not type a new password.
K. Click on System Setting and click to check the Show E911 noncompliant notice field. L. Click on Audio Setting and click to check the Use Echo Canceller field. Click the Apply button.
M. NOTE: Do the following only if you have an ACD phone. 1. Click on IP Telephone Server. 2. Scroll down the window until you see Use as ACD Terminal. 3. Check the Use as ACD Terminal box.
4. Click the OK button to close the window. N. Once you have closed your soft phone, do the following steps 5. Open your Start menu. 6. Click on All Programs 7. Click on UNIVERGE Soft Client SP350 8. Click SP350
O. Login into your SP 350 soft phone using your phone s extension as the login and password.
