1 USER GUIDE FOR DIGITAL CERTIFICATE If you encounter any problem and no solution can be obtained from the USER GUIDE FOR DIGITAL CERTIFICATE, please contact our hotline at or for assistances. Our operation hour is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. A - How to install softcert Digital Certificate? Solution A Installation of Digital Certificate Digisign ID Basic 1. Save the folder (zip file, as attached in the ) to your PC and extract it. WAN AIMI WAHIDA 2. Double click your digital certificate (P12 file). 3. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Welcome Screen appears. Click Next button for the File to Import Screen. 4. Certificate Import Wizard Window s File to Import appears. Click Next button for the Password Screen. 1
2 5. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Password Screen appears. Type in the password for private key, which is the PIN Code given to you. Tick at the Enable strong private key protection and Mark the private key as exportable. Click Next. 6. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Certificate Store Screen appears. Click Next. 7. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Completion Screen appears. Click Finish. 2
3 8. Import Private Exchange Key Window appears. Click Set Security Level button 9. Import Private Exchange Key Windows s Create Password Screen appears. Type in your preferred user name in the Password for edit box. Type in your preferred password in the Password and Confirm edit boxes. Click Finish button to complete the user name and password creation process. 10. Import Private Exchange Key Window appears. Click OK button to end. 3
4 11. Certificate Import Wizard Window appears. Click OK button to end. B - How to install root certificates? Solution B Installation of Root Certificate (Class2root & Digisign ID Basic) 1. Double-click on the root certificate (class1root) 2. The Digicert Class 1 Root CA Certificate Window will be launched. Click Install Certificate button to install this certificate. 3. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Welcome Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Certificate Store Screen. 4. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Certificate Store Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Completion Screen. 5. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Completion Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Successful Dialog Box. 6. Certificate Import Wizard Window s Import Successful Dialog Box appears. Click on the OK button to end. 7. Kindly repeat steps 1 6 to Digisign ID Basic root certificate. 4
5 C - How to check if I have already installed my Digital Certificate and root certificates correctly? Solution C Digital Certificate and root certificates at your PC. 1. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates >. The following screen will be appear. Double Click at your Digital Certificate (your name). 2. Please click Certification Path button and you will see 3 Digital Certificate inside the Certification Path 5
6 D - How to install ActiveX from Digicert Sdn Bhd? Solution D Installation of Active X 1. Please type the following address to access SMPC; 2. Choose your language <English> or <Bahasa Melayu> 3. Click on Tax Incentive Application ( Calculator icon), a login screen will then be displayed. Note : There will be Information Bar will pop up on the top of the screen, directly beneath the address bar. The control will only be installed once given permission to. This is a safety measure to ensure sites cannot simply install any programs they want. If you do not have any Information Bar pop up on the screen, please refer to Solution E Configuration at Internet Explorer Setting 6
7 4. Click on the Information Bar and a menu will appear. Click Run or Install to continue. Give the browser a moment to run the ActiveX control. Once it has finished, the website should load the site that required the control to function properly. If it does not simply restart your browser for the change to take effect. 5. Please choose for statement No. 3 at Tax Incentive s menu. Click here wording to proceed. Digital Certificate from Digicert 6. The following screen will be displayed. Click OK 7
8 7. A screen to select your certificate will be prompt. Please select your Digital Certificate and click Login. 8. The following screen will be displayed, key-in the password that you have registered during the installation of softcert and then click OK. 9. You have successfully installed ActiveX and access to SMPC application once you get the following screen. 10. For more information please refer to BI-ver1.pdf. 8
9 E - How to install ActiveX if there is no Information Bar pop up on the screen? Solution E Configuration at Internet Explorer Setting 1. Please go to Tools>Internet Options 2. Please click Security>Custom level. 9
10 3. The following screen will be appear, please scroll down until ActiveX controls and plug-ins. Kindly refer to the following screen and tick Enable on the marked () items as per shown on the picture. 4. Kindly refer to the following screen and tick Enable or Prompt on the marked () items as per shown on the picture. 10
11 5. Kindly refer to the following screen and tick Enable or Prompt on the marked () items as per shown on the picture. 6. Then click OK button and the following screen will appear. Please click Yes for the changes to take affect. 11
12 7. Click Apply. 8. Kindly access to SMPC; and go to Tax Incentive Application. 12
13 9. The following screen will prompt. Please click Install. 10. Please choose for statement No. 3 at Tax Incentive s menu. Digital Certificate from Digicert 13
14 11. The following screen will be displayed. Click OK 12. A screen to select your certificate will be prompt. Please select your Digital Certificate and click Login. 14
15 13. The following screen will be displayed, key-in the password that you have registered during the installation of softcert and then click OK. 14. You have successfully installed the ActiveX and access to the SMPC application once you get the following screen. 15. For more information please refer to BI-ver1.pdf. 15
16 F - What to do if the certificate Box is still empty (no certificate found) even after ActiveX installation? Or What to do if I got this error message? Solution F Reload the Digital Certificate. Error Message For Windows 2000 up to Windows XP. 1. Please close all your Internet Explorer and reopen again. 2. Check the Digital Certificate installed correctly (refer to Solution C Digital Certificate and root certificates at your PC) and go to SMPC website to login again. 3. If still having the same error message, please restart your PC and go to SMPC website to login again. 4. 17 For Windows 7 and Vista User 1. Close your Internet Explorer browser. Click Start Menu 2. Go to Internet Explorer (IE) icon and Right Click at the IE icon. Choose the Run as administrator. 3. The User Account Control prompt will appear. Please click Yes. Then IE will automatically open. Please go to SMPC website and try to login again. 4.
