Model number: SMCWIPCAM-PZ Topic: Event server & Motion detect Event Server 1. Log in to your IP cam admin page Enter Default username: admin and password: smcadmin 2. Go to Setup.
3. Go to Event Server NetStorage. 4. Enter your NAS IP address in Samba Server Address Enter your shared main folder under Share Enter your subfolder in your NAS under Path Enter the username and password for your NAS(check on Anonymous if you do not need password) Click on the Test.
5. You will get the page as below with the Server test successed. Motion Detect 1. Go to Motion Detect. 2. By default, you will see 2 box as show below.
Select 1 or 2 to high which box you wants to position. 3. Drag the box to the position you wants to detect motion. You may name the box as below. Save.
4. Go to Event Config Motion Trigger. 5. Check on Enable and Record to Network Storage. Apply. 6. Motion detect configuration is completed from here. You may try to make any motion Activity and check your NAS for the video recorded.
Model number: SMCWIPCAM-PZ Topic: Event server (configured to a PC) Event Server 1. Create a folder in your PC and set it as shared folder. To create a folder, right click on the mouse and go to new Folder. 2. After the folder is created, right click on the folder and click on Sharing and Securiy.
3. Check the boxes as shown below and create a shared name. Click on Apply once done and your folder is shared. 4. Log in to your IP cam admin page Enter Default username: admin and password: smcadmin
5. Go to Setup. 6. Go to Event Server NetStorage.
7. Enter your PC IP address in Samba Server Address Enter your shared main folder under Share Enter your subfolder in your NAS under Path(If there is any) Enter the username and password for your PC(check on Anonymous if you do not need password) Click on the Test. 8. You will get the page as below with the Server test successed.
Motion Detect 1. Go to Motion Detect. 2. By default, you will see 2 box as show below. Select 1 or 2 to high which box you wants to position.
3. Drag the box to the position you wants to detect motion. You may name the box as below. Save. 4. Go to Event Config Motion Trigger. 5. Check on Enable and Record to Network Storage. Apply. 6. Motion detect configuration is completed from here. You may try to make any motion Activity and check your folder for the video recorded. Note: Your PC must be powered on in order for the IP camera to save the video files in the shared folder.

3. Go to Tools. 4. Browse the firmware file. 5. Click on update to upgrade the firmware.
Model number: SMCWIPCAM-PZ Topic: Wired configuration/ IP address configuration 1. Connect the network camera directly to your pc. Run the Pan Tilt Network camera CD, go to IPFinder. 2. IPFinder will find the default ip address(etc:192.168.0.30) for the network camera.
3. Change to static IP for your PC in order to access the admin page of the network camera. ETC: IP address: 192.168.0.100 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway:192.168.0.1 Once done, click on OK. 4. Enter 192.168.0.30 on your internet explorer. A popup as below will appear. Enter Default username: admin and password: smcadmin
5. Go to Setup. 6. Go to Network Network. Check on Static IP and enter IP: 192.168.2.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1 Primary DNS: 192.168.2.1 Note: Default gateway is the IP of your router.
7. Change back static IP to Obtain an IP address automatically. Click on Apply
Model number: SMCWIPCAM-PZ Topic: Wireless configuration Note: you may skip step 1 to 3 if your ipcam already have a ip address configured. 1. Connect the network camera directly to your pc. Run the Pan Tilt Network camera CD, go to IPFinder. 2. IPFinder will find the default ip address(etc:192.168.0.30) for the network camera.
3. Change to static IP for your PC in order to access the admin page of the network camera. ETC: IP address: 192.168.0.100 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway:192.168.0.1 Once done, click on OK. 4. Enter 192.168.0.30 on your internet explorer. A popup as below will appear. Enter Default username: admin and password: smcadmin
5. Go to Setup. 6. Go to Network Network. Check on Static IP and enter IP: 192.168.2.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1 Primary DNS: 192.168.2.1 Note: Default gateway is the IP of your wireless router.
7. Go to Network Wireless. Use the Site survey to detect the SSID broadcast by your wireless router. Select the security type configured on your wireless router and enter the password. 8. Change back static IP to Obtain an IP address automatically. Click on Apply 9. Plug out your cable and test logging in to the ip address of your ipcam(etc:192.168.2.2).

7. Scroll down all the way and you can see a HTTP Port as show below. By default, it is set to port 80. You may change to other port(etc:10000). 8. Change back static IP to Obtain an IP address automatically. Click on Apply 9. Create a port forwarding to the port you configured on step 7. You will need to find out how to do a port forwarding on your router. 10. Find out your WAN ip address from your router and access the IPcam from an external network PC by entering http://(wan ip): (port number). (etc: http://202.16.217.290:10000)
