Welcome to the IMTA New York 2014 auditions. We at ICEPN would like to personally thank you for attending. Today you will be given the opportunity to audition for the world s largest and most prestigious modeling and talent convention. Auditioning for the IMTA convention is a privilege and should be taken very seriously. Many of successful models and actors have attended IMTA. As a result of their hard work and the intense promotion to the hundreds of attending agents, most of these models and actors are booking top campaigns, magazines and commercials. The audition shall be held at 450 Drake Ave, Middlesex, NJ on Sunday May 18 th at 1:00pm. If you are chosen from the callbacks after the May 18 th audition to attend the IMTA convention, you will travel to New York with ICEPN to showcase your talent in front of nearly 300 agents and managers. This is one of the best ways for anyone interested in a career in modeling or acting to break into the industry in July from July 20 th to 24 th, 2014 at Hilton Hotel Midtown NY. While attending IMTA you will have the opportunity to seek representation from every major market of the world. TV Scene GENERAL COMPETITIONS INDIVIDUAL SINGING/INDIVIDUAL DANCING TALENT PRELIMINARIES: Talent Divisions T1 T10 Singing/Dancing Females T1, T2 (Females 18 and over) Singing/Dancing Males T6, T7 (Males 18 and over) Singing/Dancing Juniors T3, T4, T8 (Females/Males 13 17) Singing/Dancing Pre-Teens T5, T9, T10 (Females/Males 9 12) Singing/Dancing Children T10 (Females/Males 4 8) SINGING audition: Contestants submit an advance 1-minute vocal track to ICEPN with contestant s voice and background music. The tracks are to be used at the audition and pre-screened by professionals who select the contestants to compete in the upcoming Singing Preliminary Competition at NY Convention and prepare a separate 2-minute background music track ready for use in the Talent Showcase if the Contestant is a finalist at NY convention. Music is submitted according the dates on the Calendar and Contestant s Checklist. Costuming is optional. A microphone is provided. Judging is on vocal quality, musical skill and casting potential. An additional note regarding Singing: Contestants should avoid singing a cappella, avoid long musical intros, and avoid pop songs that do not show off the voice. The song sent as the pre-judging selection does not have to be the song choice for NY convention competition, but should best reflect a contestant s vocal quality and ability to sing. DANCING Auditions: Each Contestant entered competes in the Dancing audition. Contestants submit a 1-minute track with music and prepare a separate 2-minute background music track ready for use in the Talent Showcase if the Contestant is a finalist at NY convention. Dancing Auditions are held on an open set and timed (one (1) minute maximum). Costuming is optional. A wooden dance floor is on the set. Contestants selected at May 18 th audition will have the opportunity to perform at NY convention and perform in the Talent Showcase if selected as finalist during the convention competition. NY Convention dancing preliminaries will have a closed set, an open set and timed (one (1) minute maximum). Costuming is optional.

A wooden dance floor, 16 by 16 is provided at NY convention. Finalists selected at preliminaries at NY convention will perform in the Talent Showcase, an open set, timed competition (two (2) minute maximum). Judging is on dancing technique, skill and casting potential. TALENT SHOWCASE: (Note: May 18 th audition, songwriting is excluded) Contestants selected from the Singing, Dancing and Songwriting from May 18 th audition will have the opportunity to compete at NY convention in July, 2014. Contestants selected as finalists to compete during the competition in the talent Showcase, an open set, timed competition (two (2) minute maximum for Singing and Dancing, three (3) minute maximum for Songwriting) before a panel of judges. Contestants selected as finalists to sing or dance in the Talent Showcase during the NY competition must have a separate two (2) minute music track prepared for the Competition. Music is submitted following the Competition Music Requirements and Encoding Instructions. Any props or effects (such as glitter, powder, etc.) must be approved in advance by IMTA staff. TEAM COMPETITIONS Team competition is open for audition on May 18 th for ICEPN Contestants performing as a unified team in a mini-show. Welcome Team Competition in one, two or all three sections. Each team performs a timed routine (three (3) minutes maximum). All Teams must be pre-registered to audition. Pre-registration is required to facilitate audition scheduling. The Team Competition Instruction Form(s) and music must be turned in by May 12 th, prior to the May 18 th Audition. Forms are available upon request. All participants must be registered as ICEPN Contestants. Team participants must have team badges since judges are interested in individual team members for callbacks. TRAINING/SCHOOL STAFF AND OUTSIDE PERFORMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO AUDITION. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES CAN RESULT IN TEAM DISQUALIFICATION. TEAM SINGING: A presentation incorporating two or maximum of eight voices, stage presence and performance combined to make a musical presentation. Team Singing Competition music tracks must contain back-up music only no vocals. Lyrics containing suggestive material or profanity are not acceptable. TEAM DANCE: A presentation that incorporates choreography, dance and wardrobe while coordinating the wardrobe with the musical selection. This presentation should be show biz, i.e., musical entertainment, not a fashion show. Dance routines should be limited to the dancers abilities. TEAM FASHION: A presentation of modeling without dance that makes a fashion statement by coordinating wardrobe selection with runway routines. The fashion statement and the team s presentation should be appropriate for showing a collection in a designer fashion show. Judging is based on commercial appeal, team coordination and musical interpretation.
