PRIZE MONEY: The committee will hand out the Prize Money for each class in the ring immediately following the class. The rider must stay in the ring to receive the prize money. Once the prize money is given in the ring by the committee the money will be considered awarded and there will be no recourse from any rider at a later time. GENERAL RULES 1. The Board of Directors of the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association has implemented an Environmental Fee of $5.00 per animal + GST, applicable to all Light Horse Show entries. 2. The show will be held under the management of the Lloydminster Exhibition Association Ltd. 3. The show is open to all, but the Committee in charge reserves the right to refuse any entry. ENTRY FORMS MUST BE SIGNED PRIOR TO COMPETING IN A CLASS. 4. The Committee in Charge reserves the right to decide any point not covered by the Rules and to correct any error or make any necessary alterations in the Rules and Prize List. 5. Order of events subject to change by the Committee. Exhibitors are requested to watch progress of the judging called into the ring. Animals must be in the show ring promptly after being called. Exhibitors failing to comply with this rule will have their animals excluded. You are responsible to notify the gate of a tack change. 6. All horses being exhibited must be halter-broke, and must be securely tied or in the charge of a competent person. No horse shall be allowed to remain loose on the Grounds. NO HORSE SHALL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS THAT IS NOT ENTERED FOR THE SHOW. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASHES AT ALL TIMES! 7. All animals on the grounds will be subject to veterinary inspection if necessary. No animal having a contagious disease shall be allowed to occupy any stall or building on, or be admitted to, the Exhibition grounds, and if any animal has been admitted through an oversight, suffering from any such disease, the Manager shall immediately order its removal from the grounds. 8. No person will be allowed to act as judge who is in any way interested in the exhibits that person is to judge. No person other than officials on duty and the judge of the class may enter the show ring without the permission of the management. 9. The Exhibitors and grooms are to appear in the ring neat, clean and suitably attired. 10. No animal shall be considered by the Judges in awarding prizes unless the Exhibitor's correct number is conspicuously displayed. 11. Animals winning prizes must not leave the ring until the prize has been awarded to them. 12. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, it is understood that each entrant by the act of entry or exhibiting waives all claims against the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association Ltd. and/or any of the members, officers or agents thereof for any and all injury loss or damage which he, his employees, helpers and/or property may sustain in any way arising out of the operations or activities of the said Company, officers, members and agents, and indemnifies the said Company by reasons of any claim by any of helpers or employees or their executors, administrators or assigns, and that any helpers or assistants introduced to or engaged by entrant through the said Company or through its members, officers or agent shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of such entrant. 13. Exhibitors of animals are liable to occasion accident, injury or damage to persons coming into contact with them, and therefore shall guard their exhibits and protect the public from coming in contact therewith, and every such exhibitor shall indemnify the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association Ltd. from and against all claims and demands, costs, charges and expenses which it may incur, suffer or be put to, by reason of any accident or of being protected therefore. The Directors and Committee members, while taking every precaution, cannot hold themselves responsible for any damage to or loss of exhibits. 14. All protests shall be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of $50.00 which deposit shall be forfeited if protest is not sustained. Said protest shall state plainly the cause of complaint or appeal and shall be filed with the Secretary; the same day as the decision complained of is made and no later than 3:00 p.m. if made on the last day. Each protest shall be dealt with by the Committee in charge of the department in which the protest is made, as soon as they may deem best, and their decision shall be final.

15. Upon any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the show secretary, horse show committee members, office staff, stabling superintendent, judges, fellow exhibitors or any other horse show official on the part of the owner, groom, driver or rider the entry will be disqualified and the owner shall forfeit his entry fees and any prize money that he may be otherwise due. The management reserves to itself the power to remove any exhibitor, groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation. 16. INHUMANE TREATMENT OF A HORSE, INCLUDING POLLING, RAPPING OR OTHER ABUSE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! 17. SHF Rules will be used. 18. Should any question or dispute arise, not provided for in the rules, it shall be referred to the Committee in Charge. 19. No whips, bats or crops are allowed. Hay and straw are not available. STABLING AND REGISTRATION Stabling is limited, stalls will be allotted. Exhibitors will not move from their assigned stalls without the permission of the Stabling Superintendent. All stallions 1 year and over must be in a box stall. It is required that all stalls be cleaned and all refuse be placed in the designated areas by 9:00 a.m. each day. NO ANIMALS SHALL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED IN THE SHOW. There will be a fee of $10.00 per stall for Stall Cleaning Out. Separate Cheques must be forwarded with the reservation for stalls and it will be returned if the stalls are cleaned out to the satisfaction of the stabling supervisor. Stabling fee for 1 day of the fair: Box Stall - $15.00 +.75 G.S.T. = $15.75 Stabling fee for all 4 days of the fair: Box Stall - $30.00 + 1.50 G.S.T. = $31.50 There will be a Stabling Supervisor at the show office in charge of all stall allotments. Exhibitors are to report to Stabling Supervisor for assignment of their stalls. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE STALL ASSIGNMENTS UNLESS APPROVED BY THE STABLING SUPERVISOR. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ENTRIES 1. All entries must be made correctly on the entry form, which is attached. Entries, including stake classes, will not be processed until full payment has been received. Payment MUST BE received by Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Payment may be mailed to the Lloydminster Exhibition Association Ltd., Box 690 Lloydminster SK S9V 0Y7. *VISA & MASTERCARD ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT FOR ENTRIES ONLY*. YOU MUST SEND 1 CHEQUE FOR THE # DEPOSIT AND 1 CHEQUE FOR THE STALL CLEANING DEPOSIT. YOU MAY NOT USE ONE CHEQUE FOR BOTH DEPOSITS. YOU MAY NOT USE A CREDIT CARD FOR EITHER DEPOSIT. 2. Horses must be named on the entry form in all classes. THE HORSE AND RIDER COMBINATION NAMED ON THE ENTRY FORM MUST BE THE SAME HORSE AND RIDER PARTICIPATING IN STAKE CLASSES. One entry form for each horse and rider combination. 3. No refund of entry fees will be made on horses incorrectly entered by the exhibitor. 4. Exhibitors cancelling their entries after the official closing date shall forfeit their entry fee and stall fees. The Committee will accept a certificate of disability from a qualified veterinarian/doctor to discuss a refund. If a refund is approved, a cheque will be mailed at a later date. The Committee will not refund any entry fees for stake classes after the official closing date. No refunds shall be made on cancellations received after the holding of the first class in which the horse is entered. 5. The age of horses shall date from the first of January of the year in which they are foaled.

6. A class may be cancelled or combined at the discretion of the management if less than four entries are made. 7. The Management reserves the right to hold preliminary judging or qualifying round of the horses entered in any class, in the event the management deems the number excessive. Only such horses as may then be selected by the Judges shall be allowed to compete in their classes when subsequently judged. This may be done to reduce the time in the ring and give the judge as much time as possible. 8. In case of any animal being disqualified, the winner of the next succeeding prize shall take the prize that has been awarded to such disqualified animal and the other prizes adjusted accordingly. 9. Entries delivered must be in the Exhibition Office NOT LATER than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 NO POST ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IN STAKE CLASSES NO TELEPHONE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. ENTRIES POST MARKED JULY 6, 2016 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS POST ENTRIES. **POST ENTRIES WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA FEE!** JUNIOR HORSE SHOW SHF RULE ALL JUNIORS MUST WEAR AN APPROVED RIDING HELMET WITH A PERMANENTLY ATTACHED CHIN STRAP IN ALL CLASSES NO CROSS ENTRY FROM JUNIOR CLASSES TO SENIOR CLASSES UNLESS THE CLASS IS AN OPEN CLASS ENTRY FEE: $5.00/ Junior class $8.00/ Open class Entries received or post marked after July 6, 2016 will be considered post entries POST ENTRY FEE: $7.00/class PRIZE MONEY AS FOLLOWS FOR JUNIOR CLASSES: 1 st - $20.00; 2 nd - $15.00; 3 rd - $10.00; 4 th - $5.00 HC denotes a SHF Heritage Circuit approved class. RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR JUNIOR SHOW 1. All exhibitors age as of January 1, 2016. Junior A 15 to 17 years of age Junior B 12 to 14 years of age Junior C 11 years of age and under 2. The animal exhibited may be purebred or grade. It is not required that they be owned by the exhibitor. 3. Each competitor may make only one entry in each class except Trail, Western Riding and Reining. 4. ANIMALS entered in Junior Competition are eligible to compete in the other classes by paying the regular entry fee unless stated as no cross entry. 5. Each entry form in the Junior Classes must be signed by a parent or guardian certifying that the applicant is eligible as to age, and has complied with the conditions of the competition. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS STATEMENT ON ENTRY FORM IS COMPLETED. 6. Entry forms must be signed prior to competing in a class. 7. Proper show attire must be worn when competing. 8. Running martingales or tie-downs are not permitted in any of the riding classes. 9. No whips, crops, or bats allowed in junior classes. 10. STALLIONS ARE EXCLUDED FROM ALL JUNIOR CLASSES.

To be shown at a walk, trot and canter, both ways of the ring.
