Insufficient organized Marketing facilities. only 2% of total Milk production is being marketed by organized sector. The state requires 16.9 million litres of milk daily. Only Kolkata and nearby suburb has a demand of 2.4 million litres per day. Supply of milk from organized sector throughout the state is nearly 1.2 million litres per day
Organized Livestock Farming Establish industries on processing and marketing of liquid milk and milk products in potential areas by way of procuring milk from the potential milk producing areas of the State.
