Arrivée Zélande 2015. Are you ready? Sunday 5 July will be a very special day. For the first time ever in the history of the Tour de France, a stage will be finishing in the province of Zeeland. The Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier and the island of Neeltje Jans will form a stunning backdrop for the end of the second stage of the Tour. This is a unique finish location for the riders who will be completing the stage that started in Utrecht earlier on the day, for millions of television viewers around the world and of course for you as a visitor to this festive sporting event. This brochure provides a basic overview of the programme for 5 July. You will receive a more detailed programme at the event itself. As the organiser, LMG wishes you an especially enjoyable day! Programme for Sunday 5 July Arrival 10.00-11.00 h Upon arrival you will receive a VIP pass and a keycord displaying a summary of the day s programme. The pass will indicate the group to which you have been allocated and the relevant schedule. Various activities are scheduled at specific times, such as lunch and a boat trip, to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the same activities. You are free to choose whether or not to participate it s entirely up to you! In addition, you will receive a non-transferable wristband which entitles you to take part in the various activities and make use of all the facilities. Coffee and tea will be served along with sweet treats from Bliek Meesterbakkers and Origineel Zeeuws, amongst others. Opening 12.00 h The official opening ceremony will be held by the King s Commissioner Han Polman together with deputy Ben de Reu. Seal-watching on a boat trip through the Eastern Scheldt National Park All aboard from the Neeltje Jans jetty to explore the Eastern Scheldt from the water! Learn more about the largest national park in The Netherlands. Drinks and snacks are included. Prepare to be surprised by the wonderful views from out on the water. The boat trip takes approx. 45 minutes.
Programme for Sunday 5 July Lunch of local seafood specialities The chefs from Maison van den Boer will prepare a delicious lunch for you including traditional Zeeland favourites such as crab soup and mussels & fries. There will also be mouthwatering salads, luxury sandwiches and seasonal fresh fruit. Tour de France publicity caravan The publicity caravan is expected to arrive at approx. 15.00 h, and you can watch it from the stands at the finish line. Each organisation has its own section of the stands; your admission ticket will indicate which area has been reserved for you. Finish and presentation ceremony From 17.00 h onwards you can take your seat in the stands to watch the finish of the second stage of the Tour de France. The peloton is expected to arrive at around 17.15 h. This will be followed by the presentation ceremony including the traditional champagne reception at the finish. You are welcome to continue networking and reflecting on the events of this special day until 19.00 h. Goody bag on departure As you leave, you will receive a well-filled goody bag courtesy of the partners of Arrivée Zélande.
On the spot programme for Sunday 5 July Attractions at Deltapark Neeltje Jans All attractions at the Deltapark are open today especially for you. Discover the impressive Bluereef Aquarium including tropical sharks, visit the Whale World exhibition or enjoy watching the spectacular sea lion & seal show. On stage The band Jam-Pact will provide musical entertainment at various times during the day. Networking on Arrivée Zélande Business Boulevard The Business Boulevard connects the main building of Deltapark Neeltje Jans with the stage and the stands beyond. Various Arrivée Zélande partners will be represented here, making it the ideal place for appointments and networking. Mini-tour of the ASO Tour de France village Exclusively for you: past riders Patrick Tolhoek and Antoine Goense will be providing tours of the ASO area which is otherwise closed to the general public. They will share unique information about the riders, their crews and the press centre.
On the spot programme for Sunday 5 July Enjoy Zeeland specialities all-inclusive, all day long There will be no shortage of delicious food and drink thanks to various local companies: As a supplier of fresh fruit to the corporate market, Fruitje.nu will be providing strawberries and cream as well as other fresh fruit from its fruit bar. For an irresistible Latte Macchiatto or simply a good cup of coffee, look no further than De Koffieboer. Spelt Bakkers from Bruinisse, known for its Pain de Mer baked using Eastern Scheldt water, will provide tasty and sustainable organic rolls for lunch. Lamb Weston Meijer will not only provide delicious fries but will also be promoting its newest tapas success: the unique Potato Dippers. Emelisse Brewery from Kamperland will have a range of refreshing beers for you to sample. There will even be wine from a Zeeland vineyard; Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre from Dreischor offers wines which pair perfectly with local seafood specialities. And that s handy, because Het Kamperlandse Seafarm is in attendance with an oyster bar! Visit Team Roompot Orange Peloton & signing sessions Since the start of this year, Roompot Vakanties has been main sponsor of the Orange Peloton so visit the Team Roompot Orange Peloton bus to meet some of the riders. Tacx-Etixx experience bus As suppliers of professional cycling materials and training programmes, Tacx and Etixx will be present with an experience bus. Pretend you are a professional rider for a while and complete previous stages of the Tour de France yourself in a realistic training simulator.
On the spot programme for Sunday 5 July Promote Zeeland in the photo booth Step inside the photo booth featuring characteristic Zeeland backdrops and props, and take fun photos which you can share with friends and family to promote the province of Zeeland. Selfie tour in golf carts There are various selfie spots on the island of Neeltje Jans, one of which is located outside the VIP village. Take a tour of Neeltje Jans in a golf cart to explore the island, which also takes in that extra selfie spot. The Big Tour de France Quiz For the optimal Tour de France experience you can test your knowledge of the Tour in the Deltapark Neeltje Jans cinema auditoriums in the Big Tour de France Quiz (in Dutch only). It combines questions about momentous historical occasions with fun facts and trivia. Cycling in a hurricane Experience how it feels to cycle in a force-12 wind. Especially for this day, two bicycles will be placed in the hurricane simulator. Rise to this challenge and take a spectacular selfie! Peloton in miniature Admire the 10-metre-long scale model of the Tour de France: a colourful collection of miniature figures that make up the peloton Tour de France team buses Beyond the finish line, within walking distance of the VIP village, you will find 22 team buses. The tension of professional sport is tangible the details make all the difference. This is where the mechanics, nutritionists and team doctors prepare for the arrival of the riders.

What should you bring with you? Don t forget your ID and printouts of your admission ticket and your parking ticket. Both tickets will be scanned on arrival. In the case of wet weather, an umbrella is advisable. Arrival The car park at Deltapark Neeltje Jans opens at 10.00 h. Please ensure that you arrive well before 11.00 h since the island of Neeltje Jans will be closed to all motorised vehicles from 11.00 h onwards for safety reasons. Parking at P1 In view of the large number of visitors expected, we encourage you to car-share as much as possible and to place your parking ticket behind your windscreen before arrival. The car-park attendants will check your parking ticket and direct you to a parking space. Admission You will be required to show your admission ticket at the entrance to Deltapark Neeltje Jans. Please have your ticket and ID ready to minimise delays at the entrance. Once your admission ticket has been scanned, you will receive a wristband giving you access to the various areas of the park.
