If you are in the middle of a call and receive an incoming cellular call, put the call on hold before you answer. If the ios device (iphone or ipad) is locked and there is incoming call, you will see a notification on the locked screen, accompanied with an alerting sound and vibration. The sound plays multiple times; however, the vibration alert sounds only once. If the device is in silent mode, there is no sound played with the notification, only a single vibration. Note: Third-party apps on ios can only issue a single vibration associated with a notification. Figure 16. Answer Call screen and Screen When Locked When the screen is in the locked condition and you receive an incoming call, follow the sequence of instructions on the phone to answer the call. 18 IP Centrex Mobile App for iphone User Guide

If the number matches one of the contacts on the mobile phone Contacts list, the name is shown on the incoming Call screen along with the alert. When you retrieve your call logs/history and the call log does not have a calling name associated with it, the App does a lookup in the local contacts and populates the name if a match is found. Call Waiting You can have two active calls simultaneously if you have Call Waiting turned on. When you receive a new incoming call and accept it, the existing call is put on hold. You can toggle between the two calls when you select the desired caller you wish to speak to first by touching their name/number. You can also create a 3-way call by tapping Merge. Preferences Troubleshooting Important: Although the App comes with troubleshooting functionality, we recommend that you call the Help Desk for technical support with all troubleshooting issues. The troubleshooting function can be used if there are issues encountered with the App. It collects and sends diagnostic information to a predefined support e-mail address that is configurable via the branding process. This helps support personnel identify the issues. The information sent consists of the app and media engine diagnostic logs. Troubleshooting is managed by a menu entry in Settings. It can be accessed from two places in the App: From the Settings button on the Sign In screen this opens the screen that contains the help and troubleshooting-related entries. This can be used before the user has signed in, which is most often for cases when a user has issues with signing in or with connectivity. From the Preferences screen, accessible from the side navigation this is available while the user is logged in. Figure 40. Troubleshooting screen Automatic Sign In You can choose to sign in automatically with IP Centrex App for iphone with a default account when it is launched to avoid having to sign in manually and remember your username and password.
