TRANSFORMER MODULE Rating: Up to 2500 kva Primary voltage: 11 or 33 kv Secondary voltage: 415 or 433 V Vector group Dyn 1 or Dyn 11: Fully compliant with MEPS Transformers are design to fit into kiosk design having optimised size and controlled temperature rise. Transformer Protection In comprehensive RM6 range you can chose to protect your transformer either using fuses or circuit breakers. FUSE SWITCH Classic protection using fuse switches is available as an option to protect smaller transformers. The fuse switch incorporates a striker pin activated 3 phase tripping mechanism to ensure full isolation under fault conditions. Thermal Study Our Medium Voltage facility in Benalla VIC is recognised as a Global Competency center within the Schneider Electric world. Our research and development teams have access to world class tools and resources to ensure our products lead the way in terms of innovation, performance and efficiency. All designs are carried out using state of the art tools. n ICEPAK ensures we have the most efficient design in terms of thermal ventilation n CONAN ensures we can supply the most efficient and compact transformer to meet the required performance specifications. 3D modelling allows us to easily and efficiently adapt designs for the many different kva ratings CIRCUIT BREAKERS Choosing circuit-breakers combined with self powered VIP protection relays you can simplify use of your RMU and minimize system losses due to very low I 2 R value (fuse switches on 1000kVA transformers can dissipate 100 W). VIP relays are easy to operate and reset in case of fault with out need to open any covers. Having fuse free installation you also prepared for future remote control. LV SWITCH BOARD 16 TO 3200 A LV Switch Boards are designed according to the network requirements and customer specifications. Each panel can be equipped with fuses or circuit breakers. LV Switch Board with Circuit Breakers Circuit breakers allow to build up a complete / advance solution for demanding / critical loads / customer / network. Securing accurate three phase tripping in case of fault. Electronic trip units / relays are adjustable for different loads and network configurations to minimize a effect of faults (discrimination) Using Merlin Gerin circuit breakers across the network you can benefit MG expertise to manage enhanced discrimination. It gives you a great opportunity to optimise the size of circuit breakers (cascading) and still remain good/high level of service continuity (discrimination). It s not possible with fuses All modern Compact NS & Masterpact circuit breakers can be equipped with full range of accessories to be prepared for future needs for remote monitoring and control. LV Switch Board with Fuses Fuse protection is a simple cost effective solution and suits for simple loads. Fuses suits to protect single phase networks with out critical loads (common in domestic public distribution). Merlin Gerin s Switched And Insulated Fusegear (SAIF) is the world s safest feeder pillar range. Fully tested it provides IPXXB operator protection in all operating conditions, even when fuse links are being replaced with the pillar remaining live Opus is an advanced range of low voltage fuse switches from Merlin Gerin, suitable for low voltage distribution. Opus range provides increased levels of safety, durability and ease of operation with ratings up to 630A. 10
REMOTE MONITORING & CONTROL Throughout the world, poor quality supply of electrical power is no longer acceptable to consumers. In many countries, regulatory standards have been defined in order to ensure a minimum standard of electrical service quality. The most common indicators employed are: n SAIDI: Standard Average Interruption Duration Index e.g.: 96 minutes/year n SAIFI: Standard Average Interruption Frequency Index e.g.: 96 interruptions/year In order to respond as effectively as possible to the globally recognised indicators for measuring their power quality, power distribution companies are looking for new products and solutions, focused principally on reducing the following: n The number of interruptions to the supply n The duration of power outages n The area effected by faults The above targets can be achieved by carrying out several actions including: n Establishing preventive maintenance on the networks n Reducing the length of supply lines to limit impact of a fault n Equipping the network with suitable equipment for better local and remote operation HV/MV Remote control center T200 4 channel T200 Flair 200C MV ring Easergy Range is dedicated to: Reduce Power Outage Durations n Optimised local and remote intervention based on reliable information from the fault current detectors n Restoration of power to healthy parts of the network during an incident using control units: by the operator for the remote control centre: 50% of the network resupplied in a few minutes by integrated automation systems: fault section isolated in the re-closing cycle Improve Distributed Power Quality n Precise information about transient and permanent faults enables corrective and preventive maintenance measures to be taken to reduce the recurrence of faults n Monitoring of distributed power quality using relevant, recorded and transmitted measurements: measurement of load currents and indication of variations in real time measurement of voltages with indication and memorisation of voltage dips and loss power factor measurement Reduce Operating Costs n The accuracy of fault information significantly reduces the time required to locate the faults: on-site intervention time is significantly reduced with devices which can communicate precise information about faults simplifies fault detection tasks and operations n Preventive maintenance reduces the number of interventions necessary outside normal working hours n Network monitoring and control equipment should feature auto-test functions to avoid the need for preventive maintenance T200 4 channel T200 Source transfer switch T200 16 channel 11
