Our experience A Sample of Case Studies MODA Mall, Bahrain Sitra Mall, Bahrain Abu Dhabi Financial Centre DTZ were appointed as sole marketing and leasing advisers and property managers of this 22,000 sq m, high-end luxury mall the premier shopping destination in Bahrain. DTZ 100% pre-leased the mall. DTZ were appointed as the property and facilities managers and sole leasing and marketing advisers for this 47,000 sq m waterfront shopping centre comprising 120 units and a food court. DTZ provided consultancy advice - specifically on the layout and configuration of the retail/catering/leisure elements of the scheme and advised on the market positioning and the tenant mix / leasing strategy. The Dubai Mall, UAE Al Danah, Cairo Doha Land, Qatar DTZ were appointed to provide market research, strategic planning and research analysis for The Dubai Mall, one of the biggest malls in the world (c. 377,000 sq m), located in the heart of new Dubai. DTZ were appointed to provide retail development advice for this 96,000 sq m scheme to help the client fully understand the socioeconomic and retail market dynamics as well as identify key retailers already operating in the New Cairo area. DTZ provided a range of advice for this client from assessing the socio economic and market demand drivers through to the potential financial performance of the master-planned scheme around 100,000 sq m of which was retail.

Andrew was formerly an Equity Partner of Donaldsons prior to the merger with DTZ in 2006 when he became Head of UK Retail Development. He is now responsible for all retail instructions across the Middle East region. He has 20 years experience in the sector having worked for retailers, development companies and been a central adviser to some of the UK s leading schemes. Saudi Arabia Peter Bibby, FRICS, Country Manager Saudi Arabia Peter joined DTZ in 2006 after working with another global real estate consultancy and transferred to the Middle East in 2007. Peter has over 30 years experience in the real estate markets of the UK, Europe and the USA. He has a broad knowledge of the commercial, residential and retail markets of both EMEA and the Middle East. His most notable retail projects in the region include large masterplanned schemes, comprising a retail element, such as the King Abdullah Economic City. Qatar Nick Witty, MRICS, Deputy Managing Director, Country Manager Qatar Nick joined DTZ in 1988 and transferred to the Saudi Arabian operation in 1999. He is now responsible for running the Qatar office and is also the Deputy Managing Director for the Middle East. Nick s background is in shopping centre management and development. In his 20 year career, he has advised retailers and developers on major schemes both in the Middle East region and in the UK. These include; Galleria, Jeddah; Mahmoud Saeed Plaza, Jeddah; Baraha Al Wa ab, Doha; Victoria Shopping Centre Harrogate ; The Light Leeds. Prior to that, Bob worked in the Middle East for 20 years.
