SWISS Advance Seat Reservation 1/5 SWISS booking Guideline f Travel Agents: Update on ASR in Europe due to new European fare structure IMPORTANT: It is mandaty to be familiar with the previous ASR Guideline, the changes due to the new concept in Europe will be made and referenced to this guideline. Introduction Effective 22JUN15, SWISS will adapt the ASR product in Europe due to the new European fare structure. You will find the changes in the below chapter which includes new booking processes that must be followed. In the fare guideline you have been infmed of the ancillary services which are included in the new European fares. Also ASR is affected and depending on the purchased fare, the service is included excluded. SWISS has decided that all passengers buying a LIGHT fare product must pay f their ASR, hence HON/SEN members, their companions and accompanied passengers booked on same separate PNRs are no longer entitled to a free ASR. Additionally passengers buying a CLASSIC and FLEX Fare are entitled to free ASR f certain categies and HON/SEN members and their beneficaries may continue to book ASR free of charge in all categies. In der to reflect these different ASR benefits accdingly, there is a need to change the booking as well as the fulfilment process. Subject: ASR changes due to new European fare structure 2/5 1 Highlights of changes LIGHT FARES: F all passengers purchasing a LIGHT fare in Europe the ASR is chargeable HON/SEN members and their companions, who purchase a LIGHT fare in Europe will no longer be entitled to a ASR free of charge The Miles and Me number needs to be removed from the booking befe inserting a seat. Then the MMnumber can be reinserted. Exception: F 1G agents LX needs to be contacted to remove the MM-number as this is not done automatically when removing the number from their system. If they (HON/SEN) purchase a combined fare which includes LIGHT fare with a CLASSIC/FLEX fare, f the CLASSIC fare all ASR seat categies are non chargeable but f the LIGHT fare ASR must be charged CLASSIC FARES: F all passengers purchasing a CLASSIC fare the Standard/Chargeable ( C ) seat categy is included and this means it is non-chargeable. NEW If such passengers are travelling with 1 me passengers, then only 1 accompanied passenger is entitled to a non chargeable ASR. 1.2 Definition of accompanying passengers An accompanying passenger is defined as a person who travels with a HON/SEN member passenger with a facility. They may be booked on the same flight/ compartment and in additional must be booked in the same fare. F bookings made in separate PNRs, it is mandaty to insert an OSI TCP in the PNR. 1.3 Codeshare bookings Reminder: ASR will still not be offered to passengers booked on our partner flight numbers operated by LX. 1.4 Handling of tickets issued befe 22JUN15 A passenger holding a ticket and would like to book an ASR on/after 22JUN15 on a European segment, pays the old ASR charges. HON/SEN + Companion FACILITY SEATING TO Fares LIGHT Fare : all seats are chargeable CLASSIC & FLEX : all seat categies are non-chargeable BLND, CBBG, DEAF, EXST, PETC, WCHR, WCHS, WCHC, F all fares ( LIGHT, CLASSIC, FLEX) the facility seats are non-chargeable. NEW F One accompanying passenger : ASR is non chargeable. NOTE :accompanied passenger must be booked on same flight/ same compartment & fare The ASR logic of the CLASSIC fare Bundle is applicable. 2.2 Voluntary reseating with existing Voluntary changes are permitted onto LX operated flights and no change fee applies. In cases where the ticket cannot be changed e.g. LIGHT fare bundle it is not possible to keep the f future travel. The is not interlinable and EMD-Interline is not yet defined. If passengers can change to LHG/OAL as per the fare rules, then the has to be refunded; Passenger must contact LHG/OAL and will need to pay f the additional excess baggage.
