Reminder on - Decimal placement change for United Arab Emirates (AED) With effect from 1st March 2015 the UAE Dirham (AED) will be shown on traffic documents with 0 decimal places. This is in accordance with IATA memorandum PTC COMP (Currently the UAE Dirham shows 2 decimal places) In order to support the exchange/refund of tickets issued prior to the system decimal change, changes have been made to the Exchanges (WFR), Refunds (WFR/WFRN), and Automated Exchanges (WFRF) tools. These changes will be in effect for the March 1, 2015 and this enhancement will allow a ticket issued with AED currency as either the BASE fare or EQUIVALENT FARE to exchange and refund using our current exchange tools. The Exchange Ticket Screen 10 mask to be presented with the amount fields in an update mode allowing you to enter missing data to complete the exchange. The enhancement will apply to the following exchange commands: WFR WFRN WFRF WFRS (response display only) Airline Booking Policies Inactive status codes and all other airline schedule changes are a means by which airlines communicate. It is important for you to action relevant changes.this practice will help your agency avoid airline service fee charges being sent when agents are not compliant with the booking policies. An example of non-compliant practices is when an agency does not action inactive status codes sent by the airline. Inactive status codes are HX, UN, NO, UC; US (refer to format finder for entire list). Other non-compliant practices include duplication of space, fictitious bookings & ticket numbers, excessive passive bookings and / or CHURNING (Cancel / Rebook). To avoid airline service fee charges (ADM s), ensure you review and work queues promptly and action all status code changes an airline sends

6 Mandatory Updates - Insert Correct and Accurate Passport data Dear Business Partners, It has been observed that passengers holding Tourist/Visit/Transit and Residence visas of UAE are deporting from UAE on every flight due to name miss match with passport or difference of name. This has resulted to massive loss of revenue for the airline paid in lieu of imposition of Fines/COD by the concerned immigration authorities. It is mandatory to insert correct and accurate passport data for UAE at the time of booking. All passengers travelling to UAE on PK should be booked/reserved and ticketed in accordance with passport name sequence (Surname and Given names must match with passport). In case of any deportation imposed fine/cod will be recovered from concerned travel agents (IATA/non-IATA/GSA) or staff. All GSAs to distribute this circular to their BSP IATA agents in their respective territories. IATA agents are also advised to distribute this circular to all of their non-iata ticketing / booking agents to avoid any complaint.
