Teach A unique discipline takes a unique approach. Serve Lead Osteopathic Medicine stands apart because of its distinctive philosophy. This approach to medicine is characterized by a focus on the entire patient and concentrated study of the musculoskeletal system which often leads to a greater emphasis on patient-centered care. Touro University of Nevada (TUN) is uniquely positioned to deliver a comprehensive Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) curriculum. As a Jewish-sponsored independent institution of higher learning that s part of the international Touro College & University System, we inspire students to be caring professionals who serve, lead and teach. An essential part of these core tenets is openness to all faiths, which is why you ll find TUN is home to students of all backgrounds, cultures, and interests. Osteopathic Medicine demands a greater level of commitment from those who choose to practice it. As a university, we re proud to ask for a greater level of commitment from you and from ourselves. What drew me to Touro was the diversity of the student body and opportunities for involvement. There are students from different age groups, religions, and cultural backgrounds, and there are countless clubs and organizations to join. Because the school is still young, students can help shape the future of the DO program. Ori DeVera, First year DO student The Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Laboratory teaches students the application, technique and philosophy of osteopathic medicine in the treatment and management of patients. It s this dedication to giving back that makes Touro such a special place.
