Antwerp Space Company History Antwerp Space : More than 50 years in the Space Business 1962 Creation of Space Division of Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company. 1998 Space division of Alcatel Bell became part of Alcatel Space. 2005 Merge between Alcatel Space and Finmeccanica Space activities. 2007 Thales becomes the reference shareholder upon the merge between Alcatel and Lucent. 2010 The company becomes part of the OHB group. Galileo Secured networks Antwerp Space is the prime contractor responsible for the architecture, the development, the integration and the deployment of: MDDN: Mission data dissemination network Delivery of the network elements ( MNEs ) interconnecting the GMS sites Delivery of the management function (GNMF i.e. Galileo Network Management Function) SDDN: Satellite Data Dissemination Network or GCS network Delivery of the network elements ( SNEs ) interconnecting the GCS sites Those networks are unique because of their low latency, high continuity, high availability, high security requirements Antwerp Space N.V.
