ALUMINIUM BOAT KITS Working closely with both Designers and Boat Builders, we are applying our extensive knowledge gained within various industries of laser cutting aluminium to the needs of the marine industry assisting in their understanding of what the laser can achieve and the benefits of this process. 5 mm Al. The size of our laser allows us to laser cut components in one piece that may have been manufactured in two or more pieces. Thus a saving of pre-fabrication time and cost and the elimination of distortion are contributory factors in achieving an improved product. The edge quality and accuracy of the laser cut components will also have a positive benefit in the fabrication stage of construction. This quality is achieved using a laser beam 0.2 mm diameter with high pressure nitrogen as the shielding gas. This ensures that there is no oxide degradation of the cut aluminium edges. We can supply material to your specification or receive it from you free issue We can work direct from your CAD drawings in dwg and dxf formats. E- mail a set to us for a quotation. No jigs fixtures or tooling required therefore the cost of producing a new design prototype is not a lot more than the cost of a production run
World Class Kits Photograph by Jordan manufacturing Ltd by kind courtesy of Mustang Marine Ltd One of the major marine projects which we were involved with was to supply the aluminium components for the hull for Bear Grylls 2003 Trans Atlantic Arctic Expedition RIB The builders of the RIB, Mustang Marine Limited, placed the order with us to laser cut the aluminium due to the capacity of the laser to take the sheet sizes of 6 metre x 2 metre required to produce certain components. Had this capability not been available then the components would have had to have been re-designed for a smaller laser or possibly plasma cut instead. The photograph shows the partially completed RIB that was exhibited outside London Boat Show at Earls Court. (2003) After the show the RIB was transported back to Mustang Marine Ltd in Wales where it was finally completed. The weather conditions outside the show proved most appropriate. Kits for Swedish Boat Builder Working Boats Limited a renowned Naval Architect are able to offer clients around the world their design expertise and now flat pack boat building kits. The recent one being 6 mtr laser cut sections for a Swedish customer.
This Cell Plate, measures some 4 metres + in diameter. The Cell Plate was laser cut from 12mm 316L grade stainless steel in two halves. The laser process was preferred to plasma due to the accuracy and edge quality required. quality. The ring pictured on the right was manufactured from aluminium sheet 6mm in thickness. Due to its size and the accuracy required, the Customer requested that this component was laser cut. Size doesn t matter Although the illustrations are depicting large laser cut components, we can also produce very small items to the same degree of accuracy
