Senior Portraits are a "once in a lifetime" event just like a wedding. We will do everything we can to make your senior portrait experience a great one. If you have a special request or question... Just ask us. We will do everything possible to accommodate you. Portraits are important to us. We hope it s important to you too. Yearbook Pose Selection The nicest looking yearbooks have a common theme throughout and the senior portraits are consistent in head-size, background and outfits. For this reason, only pictures taken by Showstopper Photography may be used in your yearbook. The background for your portrait is oil painted blue with soft pastel splashes. The girls are required to select a pose taken in our traditional black drape and the boys are required to select a pose wearing a dark suit jacket or a dark sport jacket. We will let you know how to indicate your yearbook pose when your images are online. The yearbook selection deadline is Sunday October 9 th. If no yearbook pose has been selected by Sunday October 9 th, we will select one for you. Ordering Pictures Pictures to order may be viewed online within 5 business days of your portrait session. A direct link will be emailed to you as soon as the pictures are available online. Your email address and password (student id number) will be required to view the pictures. All portrait orders are to be place online through our secure website ordering system and payment (credit card) is due in full when you place your order. If you are uncomfortable ordering online, you may schedule an appointment to meet with us by emailing PhotoTeam@ShowstopperPhotography.com The images you view online are not retouched, cropped, or color corrected. Every picture used for your order will be cropped, retouched and color corrected. This service is included in our pricing.
$25.00 sitting fee is due when the pictures are taken. In addition to the 6-8 basic poses, an additional 8-20 pictures will be photographed in 1 or 2 additional outfits of your choice. The senior portrait special is recommended for all seniors. It will provide you more choices and an opportunity to show your personality and style! Numerous backgrounds and props will be available. Your photographer will discuss with you what the most suitable background and props to use to coordinate with the outfits you bring with you. Some Suggestions... Casual: Show us your everyday style or favorite outfit. Identity: Bring your letterman jacket, cheerleading outfit, band uniform, or sports team uniform. Fun Side: Leather or lace, grunge or club, show some attitude and have fun! Fashion: Girls you ll want to bring a cute dress and heels. Let s play fashion model! Boys Bring some bling-bling and a fancy shirt. Classic: Girls Pretty blouse, skirt, nice shoes.
Boys Nice shirt, khaki slacks, and dress shoes. We will have tuxedos available! Accessories: You ll want to bring a ton! Always remember to dress Head to Toe! Hats, headbands, bandanas, sunglasses, etc. Makeup, shoes, jewelry and sunglasses Sports equipment and musical instruments Sweaters and jackets to give a basic outfit a new look An armful of fresh flowers Skateboard, bike, sports equipment, musical instruments, etc. The cost for a Senior Portrait Special session is only $25.00 and is due at the time of your portrait sitting. You can expect to be with one or more photographers for 15-20 minutes.
SENIOR PORTRAIT TIPS Please take a moment to read through these tips and ideas. However, these are suggestions, not rules! If your favorite outfit includes thirty different bright colored stripes wear it! These are YOUR portraits and should reflect who you are. CLOTHING DOS DO wear medium to dark clothes DO use a variety of colors DO choose a variety of outfits DO bring a fun clothing item DO bring long-sleeve solids or very subtle prints DO bring a trendy option DO bring a parent outfit and a senior outfit DO wear long sleeve dresses and shirts DO bring shoes and socks for each outfit DO coordinate your outfit head to toe DO wear traditional styles that will continue to be in style AVOIDING COMMON PROBLEMS Sunburn and tan lines Please keep out of the sun a week or two before your session. We often see uneven sunburn from guys who wear ball caps, raccoon eyes from those who were burned while wearing sunglasses, or strap lines on the shoulders of girls in a strapless formal dress or top. Sunburn, uneven tanning, and tan lines are very difficult to retouch. Wrinkled or ill-fitting clothing Please be sure your clothes are wrinkle-free. PROP OPTIONS Musical Instruments Sports equipment Hats/glasses/scarves/belts/shoes/jewelry Props can help to show your personality and record the types of activities you are involved in. Be sure to bring some of your own props to your portrait session. MORE TIPS Visine eye drops can be used for red eyes if you have allergies. Heavier thicker materials will photograph and lay better. Wear your hair in your regular style. Guys should not have a fresh haircut, but should have a fresh shave. A 5 o clock shadow will show and can t be touched up. If you need a trim, have it done about a week before. Girls, it is not a good idea to get a new hairstyle that you ve never used before. Wear it the way you like to wear it best!
Basic Portrait Sitting Information This is available complimentary to all seniors Boys 3-4 images will be photographed in a plain dark jacket, collared shirt and tie. 3-4 images in red cap and gown will also be photographed. Boys should bring their own jacket, collared shirt and tie. Girls 3-4 images will be photographed in a traditional black drape (provided) and 3-4 images in white cap and gown. We will have white pearls available to wear with the drape, if requested. The Basic Picture Session will take 5-10 minutes.
Good to Know... 1. All Senior Pictures will be done at the OJR High School in the Auditorium. 2. For your yearbook selection, only portraits done on the traditional background in drape (girls) and dark jacket, button down shirt and tie (boys) may be used. 3. Showstopper Photography will provide the black drape and the cap and gown for all senior portraits. Boys... If you do not own a dark jacket, button down shirt, or necktie, please borrow them. We will have a few jackets, shirts and ties available on picture day. Re-Take Day Information Picture Retake day and Senior Portrait Final Opportunity is MONDAY September 12 th during school and immediately following school in the High School LGI (by the school library). Senior Portraits may be re-taken for any reason. Retake Fee is $5.00(no exceptions) and is due to the photographer on picture re-take day. If you missed your original portrait sitting, you will be scheduled on this day. Only the Basic Sitting will be available this day.
