Basic Touch Screen Operation for the PLY-E7191 Pocket Welt and 7194 Flap Machines First Screen after power on The first 4 screens after power on are used to put the machine in its start sew or home position. If needed which clamp lowers first, right or left can be set as well as the bobbin count in the fourth screen. Second Screen after power on Third Screen after power on You must press this key to send the clamp to the rear position This is also a machine status screen that checks if mechanical items are located correctly via sensor. The items highlighted in white must be on or the machine will not work See the next screen for more details 1

Center knife is up Synchronizer is in the up position Bottom knife is in the correct position Tab knifes are down Below Screen is after the clamp is sent to the rear position Press this key to bring the clamp forward Use these keys to select the left or right side of the clamp to lower first Bobbin reset key Bobbin set key (see last 2 pages for details) Activates tab knife Activates upper and lower knife Standard Screen (Ready for Sewing) Type of pocket: Parallel, slant, etc. Cycle sew settings screen (optional) Next Screen (will use later) Fine tune or manually enter sew length. Sewing Speed Screen Press to select Stacker Type Screen Picker Type Bar Type Timer Setting Screen T0=Sew start delay T1=Release upper thread at start sew T2=Return upper thread holder at start of sew T3=Upper thread trimmer at end of sew T4=Clamp release during stacking T5=Clamp return after stacking T6=Stacker operation Not using T7 and T8 Note: Push the numbers to change the setting 5

Flap Setting Screen (For PLY-E7194) Goes to the Sensor Adjustment Screen Enter Key (Note: You must press this key if you make a change) (Ex. If you change to a right flap) No flap Left flap Right flap Note: First press of the arrow selects flap side, second press selects alternate sew Sensor Adjustment Screen (For PLY-E7194) Use this screen to adjust the start sew and end sew point of a left or right flap Start sew adjustment The arrows (right number) is a fine adjustment The + and (left number) is a course adjustment Enter/ End sew adjustment Customizing Multiple Machine Cycles to Memory (Ex: Changing from Parallel to Flap sew) (Note: Not for Machine Adjustments) Standard Screen Goes to Cycle Change Screen 6

Cycle Change Screen The or + will change to a cycle you have already set up (Ex. ACO is set) Goes to Cycle Set up Screen Cycle Set Up Screen Function are turned on or off by pressing the boxes from left to right Example of the settings for A0 (AC0) is: Type of pocket/parallel Flap side/not using flap Sewing length/180mm Slow feed at start/on Clamp stops at rear position/on Clamp up or down at rear position/on for down E/End is off Example of the settings for A1 (AC1) is: Type of pocket/parallel Flap side/right side Clamp stops at rear position/on E/End is on You can have up to 10 different settings in the A mode, B mode, and C mode for a total of 30 A0-A9 (AC0-AC9) B0-B9 (BC0-BC9) C0-C9 (CC0-CC9) Note: That the E (end) is on in the A1 line. This means that only AC0 and AC1 will be available for selection in the cycle change screen. If the E was in line 1, only AC0 would be available. 7

Setting the Bobbin Count (There may be a slight error in this explaination) Note: If you do not use the counter, set it to the highest number (99999) Standard Screen With the bobbins full and the counter reset to 0, Run the machine until the bobbins run out and take note of the number of cycles. In this example the count is 65. Send the clamp to the rear position Screen After the Clamp is Sent to the Rear Position Counter reset key Counter set key (press to open the next screen) Bobbin Set Screen 1 Press here to change to the next screen 9

Bobbin Set Screen 2 Using the keypad, press the number 65 and then the ent key on the keypad Then press the enter key Next Screen Press the counter number revise key and then the counter will set itself to the new number you entered which was 65 65 After that press the enter key Next Screen Send the clamp back to the front position 0 65 End of Instructions 10
