White light Illumination with halogen lamp (12V,100W) C. Software, hardware and power supply: 1. Complete Windows based software control for data acquisition in all modes. All the necessary manuals (both soft and hard copy) of the software should be supplied. 2. All the power supplies, interfaces, data acquisition electronics and control units required for Raman measurements in all the modes specified should be inclusive in the offer. 3. Raman spectroscopy software should include multiple spectral window joining with CCD background subtraction to increase the spectral window of measurement in multichannel detection mode with high spectral resolution. 4. PC and Monitor : Latest Windows operating system based-software pre-installed and ready to run, LCD display 23 or larger with up to date PC 5. To be operated at : 230 V ± 10% at 50 Hz ( Power supply ) D. Other facilities: 1. Hg / Ne lamp with power supply for calibration of a spectrometer should be provided. 2. Sokes /Anti Stokes accessory to allow low frequency measurements of both Stokes and Anti-Stokes data. E. Optional: 1. Warranty : All components of the system should have at least one year warranty from the date of installation at RRCAT site. G. Maintenance contract : Please also quote separately for our consideration an yearly maintenance contract (AMC) renewable up to 3 years after the warranty period, clearly indicating scope of AMC. H. Installation and training: The system should be satisfactorily installed at the RRCAT site. Pre-requirements for the installation should be communicated at the time of confirmation of P.O. The training for operation of the Raman system at the RRCAT site for two days should be provided after completion of the installation of the system. I. Acceptance Criteria: The item shall be accepted on the basis of successful operation and demonstration of all the quoted parameters at RRCAT site, by the service Engineer of the supplier or it s representative.

Before dispatch following spectra recorded on Instrument (Raman system) should be provided i) Hg/Ne lines to show claimed resolution/s in various modes of operation. ii) Observation of 9.5 cm -1 peak of L-Cystine. iii) Low frequency data showing confined acoustic phonon/s in the range 10-40 cm -1 of commercially available Schott filter OG515/OG530 All the above measurements to be reproduced at the RRCAT site at the time of installation. The Raman mapping may be separately demonstrated on a suitable sample. Notes: 1. Operating manuals containing technical details and some details of the instruments should be provided. 2. The supplier shall confirm support for maintenance and after sales service. i.e. The manufacturers should have authorized sales / service representatives in India, if the principal is not located in India. 3. The suppliers should include, A) A list of customers to whom similar systems are supplied in India with their complete contact details. B) Compliance confirmation separately for each specification/parameters mentioned in the indent. 4. Quotations from the original manufacturers and their authorized representatives will only be considered. The authorization certificate should be provided along with the quotation and the original should be reproduced as and when required for verification.
