jabra GETTING STARTED You should follow three steps before using your in-car speakerphone: 1 Charge your 2 Turn your on 3 Pair your with your mobile phone The first time you turn your on you will hear Voice Guidance telling you what to do. NOTE: Voice Guidance and Voice commands are enabled as a default setting when you turn on your the first time. You can at any time disable the functions by both pressing the Voice button while you slide the power switch into the ON (I) position. You will hear Voice off and will no longer talk to you or listen for commands. Repeat the process to enable the voice features again. CHARGE YOUR JABRA JOURNEY Make sure that your in-car speakerphone is fully charged before you start using it. Use the USB cable to connect to the car charger. Plug the car charger into your car s power outlet. The status light will light up red while charging. When fully charged the status light turns off. can be charged through your computer by using the USB cable. Please note: The lifetime of the battery will be significantly reduced if your device is left uncharged for a long period. We therefore recommend that you recharge your device at least once a month. Use only the charger provided in the box - do not use chargers from any other devices as this may damage the in-car speakerphone. 2.5 Hrs 6

TURNING YOUR JABRA JOURNEY ON AND OFF Slide the I/O switch to turn the in-car speakerphone on or off. The first time you turn your in-car speakerphone on, it automatically enters pairing mode. If the switch is left in the ON (I) position the will turn off automatically after it has been disconnected with your phone for 10 min.. The in-car speakerphone will also automatically turn on and reconnect to your phone when you enter your car (open the car door). PAIRING YOUR JABRA JOURNEY WITH YOUR PHONE is connected to a mobile phone using a procedure called pairing. By following a few simple steps and voice guidance, a phone can be paired with the in-car speakerphone in a matter of seconds. 1 Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone Please check the manual for your mobile phone. 2 Put the in-car speakerphone in pairing mode When you turn on your for the first time, the in-car speakerphone will automatically start up in pairing mode i.e. it can be detected by your phone. When the in-car speakerphone is in pairing mode the status light will flash rapidly blue and a voice will guide you through the pairing process. 3 Set your Bluetooth phone to search for the Follow your phone s instruction guide. The handsfree is now ready for use SELECT Manual pairing mode If you wish to use the in-car speakerphone with a different phone, or if the pairing process was interrupted, you can manually set the in-car speakerphone to pairing mode. Turn the in-car speakerphone on. Press and hold the answer/end button for approximately 5 seconds until the status light stars blinking rapidly blue. Then repeat steps 2 and 3 in the above pairing guide. CONNECTING WITH YOUR PHONE AUTOMATICALLY Pairing is only needed the first time an in-car speakerphone and phone are used together. When the in-car speakerphone and phone have been paired once they will automatically connect when the in-car speakerphone is on and Bluetooth is activated on the phone. The in-car speakerphone can be used when it is connected to the phone. If the device is paired, but does not immediately connect, tap the answer/end button. PLACING JABRA JOURNEY IN YOUR VEHICLE The sits discreetly and conveniently on the sun visor using the integrated metal clip. The product can be easily taken on and off the sun visor. For optimal sound quality place the right in front of you and speak directly into the in-car speakerphone. 8

ADDITIONAL FEATURES Voice control button* If you phone supports voice control, the voice control button on allows you to control your phone with your voice. The button can also be used to mute/un-mute your microphone during an active call. Answer/Ignore Voice Commands** You can also take calls with your voice. Just say Answer or Ignore. Motion Sensor and Auto ON has a built-in motion sensor that registers a movement in a car and sends a signal to the device to power on. Auto ON is possible if your unit has been turned off automatically and the On/Off slider is placed in the position I. On/Off Sleep mode and Auto OFF When not connected to a phone, the in-car speakerphone turns off automatically after 10 minutes. The phone will turn on automatically with help of a motion sensor. You can also turn it on again by typing the answer/end button. Caller ID and name announcement* During an incoming call will access the phonebook on your mobile phone and announce the name of the caller. If the name is not stored in your phonebook and your phone supports PBAP it will announce the number of the caller instead. * Phone dependent ** Available ONLY in English 9

Play music and GPS directions* Make sure that the in-car speakerphone and mobile phone are connected. When you play music or GPS directions from your mobile phone, it will automatically transfer them to your in-car speakerphone. If your phone does not allow this feature, press the answer/end button to transfer the music to the in-car speakerphone. Music or GPS directions will automatically be paused when you have an incoming call. When the call is ended it will start playing again. Advanced Multiuse can be connected to two mobile devices at the same time. To learn more about Advanced Multiuse please go to the HOW TO HANDLE CALLS FROM TWO MOBILE PHONES section. Please, verify if you mobile phone has a voice control mode by checking its user manual. I press the voice button and but cannot check battery status of Some in-car speakerphones have a voice control system driven by the speakerphone itself. Each mobile phone has its own voice control set up. If your phone supports the voice control function, its user manual should list the words that you can use to control 12

your mobile phone. Some phones when turned into the voice control mode suggest what words you can use to control your phone. The words are usually written on the mobile phone screen. I hear crackling noises Bluetooth is a radio technology, which means it is sensitive to objects between the in-car speakerphone and the connected device. It is designed for the in-car speakerphone and the connected device to be used within 33 feet (10 meters) of each other, with no major objects in the way (walls, etc.). I cannot hear anything in my in-car speakerphone - Increase the volume in the in-car speakerphone. - Ensure that the in-car speakerphone is paired to a device that is playing. - Make sure your phone is connected to the in-car speakerphone by tapping the answer/end button. I am having pairing problems You may have deleted the in-car speakerphone pairing connection in your mobile phone. Follow the pairing instructions. I want to reset the pairing list in my in-car speakerphone The in-car speakerphone registers a list of up to 7 mobile phones. To remove the list: 1) Put your in the pairing mode by long press on the answer/end button; 2) The press Volume down button while holding your finger on the answer/end button. A beep and a purple flash of the status light indicate the list was removed from the in-car speakerphone memory. The next time you power on, the in-car speakerphone will go into pairing mode as the first time you powered your new on. Will the work with other Bluetooth equipment? The is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile phones. It can also work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bluetooth version 1.1 or higher and support a headset, hands-free and/or advance audio distribution profile. 13

I cannot use Reject call, call on hold, Redial or voice dialing These features are dependent on the ability of your phone to support a hands-free profile. Even if the hands free profile is implemented reject call, call hold and voice dialing are optional features which are not supported by all devices. Please consult your device manual for details.
